Glacier Lagoon

Glacier Lagoon, Jökulsárlón, located in the Vatnajökull national park. The lagoon is made up of meltwater from the massive glacier, Vatnajökull, and is everchanging from the force of the glacier retreats. When the ice breaks away from the glacier it wanders through the lagoon and towards the ocean, a truly astonishing sight.

Great outing. Something unique absolutely to visit. We went around in half an amphibian. It was worth it. Seals were also present.

Vania and Orn made our trip memorable! We were travelling with our two small children, ages 3 and 7, and had a wonderful time. They were patient, informative, and made us feel welcomed. They even helped us with our little ones. There was so much beauty and wonder to take in.

If I could give 100 stars, I would. This is the best private tour we had. They were extremely nice, hospitable, and very informative too. We will definitely return to Iceland because of them. We were so happy to sit back and leave the driving and expertise to Ern and Vania- everywhere you look, there is beauty. This was a full day tour seeing the highlights of the South shore. The waterfalls, beaches, glaciers and lagoons all had something unique and special to offer. Ern and Vania were fun to get to know, very attentive to what we wanted/needed, and provide safe and comfortable travel.

The whole journey was fabulous. We went with the Private vehicle tour from Diamond Tours. Orm our guide was fabulous. Knowledgeable, entertaining and courteous. We were in a Mercedes van which made the travel very comfortable. The sites we visited are breathtakingly beautiful. 14 hours flew by. This is a must do. Thank you Orm for making it a memorable experience!

Orn was our guide for the day and did an amazing job. He picked us up promptly at 7AM and kept my family engaged through what was a 15 hour day! We booked a zodiac boat ride on the lagoon (highly recommend) and he ensured we arrived safely there on time, but did not miss a stop along the way including lunch. Highly recommend Orn and Diamond Travel! 💎 🌟

This was an absolute joy of a tour. Oren and Vania were the best hosts and an absolute pleasure to be around. We have been in Iceland for two weeks, so they took us to some places off the beaten path.

We booked this trip because we wanted, as first timers in the country, to experience as most as we could from the country. Don't have any regrets about booking this trip. Our driver was friendly, willing and able to show the country, the southern part of it. The tour was originally set for 14 hours, but it was extended tp 16 hours! And our driver was willing to keep going. He is very proud of his country and wanted to shows us the beautiful and enchanted landscapes and attractions in the country. Highly recommended, especially if you don't have too much time to spend at the country and you want to use the opportunities up to the maximum extent.
Very nice experience with very friendly and helpful guides. Definitively recommend it.

This was incredible. A little more effort than I expected trying to stamp your feet into the ice with crampons to ensure you didn’t slide. If you have knee problems, be advised. It rained the entire time so we couldn’t get s good view of the glacier we were climbing but still amazing. Layers are the way to go. Bring sturdy over the ankle shoes.
