Embark on a true Scottish adventure with our 3-day small group tour to Skye from Glasgow. Journey through the magnificent Scottish Highlands, before arriving on the mystical Isle of Skye. Enjoy a full day exploring the island's most beautiful spots, before travelling back down to Glasgow via the most photographed castle in Scotland, Eilean Donan.
Choose between single, double, or no accommodation at time of booking and travel by air-conditioned coach throughout your journey.

Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them board and disembark.

Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before your tour's departure time.

If booking your own accommodation, you must book within 2km of Portree town centre.
Luggage is restricted to one medium sized suitcase per person. For guidance: a medium sized suitcase is considered 60-69cm high and roughly 45cm in width.
The tour starts at 9am in Edinburgh and picks up Glasgow passengers at 10am.
Please note: from 22nd December to 1st February 2025, Eilean Donan Castle will be closed. We will still stop at the castle for photos and access to the bridge will be available. However, the Visitor Centre and toilet facilities will be closed.

Travel from Glasgow to Portree
Luss Pier
Departing Glasgow, our first stop on this Isle of Skye tour is at the picturesque conservation village of Luss, on the ‘Bonny, Bonny’ banks of Loch Lomond
Glencoe Lochan
Travelling north via Tyndrum we pass over the atmospheric Rannoch Moor before enjoying time to walk and admire the dramatic Glencoe, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald Clan.

5.00Jim our guide and driver is very knowledgeable and gives us enough information of history. We have enough time in each site to enjoy our trip to Isle of Skye. Jim also very respectful and has a real good sense of humour. He is also interact with us individually, as couple or family and involves us all asa group. It’s the best tour and strongly recommend to anyone who does not have a lot of time but like to see and get an insight to a bit of Scotland and its highlands.

5.00An absolutely stunning trip with Jack W. Itinerary wasn’t strictly followed but we had some spectacular sites he took us to that we would not have otherwise seen. Jack was an awesome guide with great commentary, suggestions and funny stories. Weather was crazy sunny! Highly recommend!!! One note if you originate in Glasgow, the return train tickets were very unclear and were meant for cross country trains from Edinburgh back to Glasgow that run only twice a day. We asked someone at the train station and 4 of us almost got on the wrong train We had to book our own tickets or sit over 2 hours to wait for the original booking. Email with tickets not helpful. Would also let those originating in Glasgow that they have option of staying in Edinburgh upon their return as well.

5.00It was a very pleasant and rewarding tour. Our guide, Neil, was detail-minded and had good time management. He gave us some really good insights (and interesting stories) of Isle of Skye and food recommendations. We will definitely recommend this tour and Timberbush to our friends and families.

5.00The tour was excellent and Scot our guide was remarkable with an amazing knowledge of Scottish history. My only negative comment is that as the only solo participant, and as I was picked up in Glasgow so the Edinburgh people were already on the bus, and as the B&B that I was assigned was first drop off and therefore last pick up each morning, by the time I boarded the bus I had no choice of seats. Couples were sitting in single seats and no one was prepared to swap. On a recent trip this was avoided as it was part of the policy of the tour operator that people should move seats each day.
