Looking for a trip but have kids under age 5 or under 50 pounds? Our Short & Mild Rafting Trip is great for anyone seeking a milder experience or trying rafting for the first time. This fun, scenic float with our experienced guides will keep everyone happy and safe. Easy class II rapids are a great introduction for young children or those who just want to enjoy the scenic beauty of the river without getting soaked! This trip is open to families with children as young as 2 years old. For families with children age 5 and older we recommend the Half Day Rafting Trip.

We meet at our riverside facility 45 minutes in advance and then depart directly from our facility down the Colorado River. Our experienced guides pilot 16’ rafts capable of carrying 8 guests through roughly 6 miles of beautiful scenery. The most exciting rapid, South Canyon, can be up to class III during June runoff. After about 1.5hrs of float time, it’s just a 12 minute shuttle ride back home, making this the perfect primer to river experiences. Launch site and take out are subject to change due to water conditions but will always contain scenic views and a beautiful Class II float. Class Rating: Class II, on the Colorado River, 6+ river miles, departs from our riverfront facility. Age/Weight: Minimum age 2, no minimum weight, max weight 375lbs. Meeting place: All trips meet at our location in Glenwood Springs, CO, which is about 2.75 hours from DIA, 1 hour from Vail and 1.25 hours from Aspen.

4.00At the beginning very pleasurable but the weather was unexpected with rain and hail. Our guide, Tater was most professional and kept the group calm. He made arrangements to get us safely off the river. Highly recommend him as a guide.

5.00This trip was perfect for us to take a nine and a four year old on. The older one loved jumping off the raft in the slow sections of the river, and there were just enough small rapids to make it fun for all. Our guide was quite friendly and made it a fun trip for all. Thanks for making this part of our trip so enjoyable!

5.00Perfect float down the Colorado with a few manageable rapids. We took the morning trip and recommend this time to go, as it was not so hot and no others in river. Randi was a great guide and related interesting info.

5.00This was great for a first time rafting experience. We had an 11 and 13 year old, and were unsure what to expect. We really enjoyed it and there were quite a few rapids that weren't too difficult but just enough to make things exciting. Both kids really had a good time. Giggles was our tour guide and she did a very good job of answering questions and gave us quite a bit of info on the Colorado River.

5.00Our whitewater rafting guide, Scotty, was absolutely sensational!! Scotty was interactive, fun, educational and incredibly kind! He made it a point to encourage the group to interact and bond with each other. This was my first ever rafting trip and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Whitewater rafting LLC is incredible and I will recommend them to anyone interested in having an amazing ride with awesome people!!

5.00My grandsons and I had a wonderful experience on our river trip! Our guide, Curd, was knowledgeable and fun! He went out of his way to make each of us feel comfortable….granny to grandson. I would highly recommend this activity!👍

5.00Great for beginners, some exciting enough Rapids but not hard! Kids ranged 4-9 and senior aged 68. Guide "Giggles" was perfect for us.
