The specialized guide will pick you up anywhere in Maputo City. Morning time: 09:00 am - 12:00 pm Afternoon time: 02:00 pm - 05:00 pm We will visit the most iconic places of Maputo: The railway station, The Cathedral, FEIMA Art craft Market, The fortress, The Museum of Natural History, the Iron House and the Tunduro Gardens. Museums are closed on Mondays, alternative locations will be added to the tour as replacement. Entrance at museums and Fortress are included The vehicle is acclimatized, comfortable, specious and very clean. It offers a pleasant environment. You are recommended to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hat or cap on the tour.

We had a great shore excursion with Simon (not sure of spelling). His English was excellent and he was very knowledgeable about the history and sites in Maputo. I would highly recommend Mabeco Tours if you want to visit Maputo.

Simao was an excellent tour guide. He soke great English. Our discussions were very interesting. If only we could sort the world out. Simao was very flexible, adjusting the tour to fit in with what we wanted, It was a very enjoyable day and highly recommended

Loved the Maputo tour and Simao was friendly, well spoken and informative. We loved the train station especially and the square (think it's called Revolutionary Square). Couldnt visit the Cathedral becase The Pope was in Maputo and happened to be at the Cathedral at the time! (Il Papa in Portugese we discovered). The central market was interesting. The craft centre would have been great if we could have just looked at things in peace without the traders pouncing on us every time we so much as looked at anything. I've travelled lots in Southern Africa and I'm familiar with this but it ALWAYS spoils the experience and my fellow visitors from UK found it most uncomfortable and wanted to leave straight away and didn't buy anything when they might have otherwise. Other than this small negative I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Very informed guide with good English. Should have booked the all day tour as this was short on time at some locations. Very enjoyable.

Simão is a friendly, well-informed guide who goes out of his way to provide his guests with decent all-round knowledge of the history of the city, starting from before the Portuguese occupation, through colonialisation, war of independence and civil war. He took us to all the major landmarks and provided interesting backgrounds on each. A tour well worth joining if you're looking for an introduction to Maputo.
