Go Ballooning is a family-run business that strives to provide high-quality customer experience and create unforgettable memories. The company's basket is six meters long, leaving passengers plenty of room to take their own photos and enjoy the view. Go Ballooning operates Australia's only basket with doors. This means passengers no longer need to climb over the basket to enter, and wheelchair users can also fly. Guests will also receive a photo and movie package at the end of their flight.

Our bus will pick guests up around 3:30am to 4:30am (depending on the time of year) at a given pick up location (these details are sent via SMS the night before their flight). Guests will be driven to the take off site. The in-air flight time is approximately 45 minutes to an hour. We fly over the Gold Coast city or the Gold Coast hinterland, depending on the wind pattern. At the end of some flights, guests will have the option of participating in our 'pack up experience' where they can walk inside our balloon, take photos, and then help pack it up. Guests will be dropped back to the pick up location between 6:30am and 7:30am.

We had the most wonderful experience. The sunrise was truly amazing up at 7000 feet. Murray was very entertaining and Gary was a great chauffeur and the whole team were great.

Absolutely wonderful experience! The team was professional, friendly and so much fun. The sunrise was absolutely perfect and the entire flight felt magical. Truly an unforgettable morning. Highly recommended!

Such an efficient operation that allowed us to enjoy our flight with no stress. Neither of us had been on a balloon flight before and were a bit apprehensive but it was so well organised that we needn’t have worried. The beautiful sunrise and views were stunning from the air. We have often waved at balloons going over our house. This time we were in one! Murray and the team at Go Ballooning gave us a fun and unforgettable experience!

We had an incredible experience with Murray in the hot air balloon this morning. He bought so much character & made everyone feel comfortable. The pick up/drop off process was all very smooth also. Would highly recommend as the views are unmatched up in the air!

NEVER FLY WITH Go Ballooning Gold Coast – Huge Safety Risk

They flew with a tear in the balloon! I recently joined a hot air ballooning tour with Go Ballooning in Gold Coast and it was honestly a very worrying experience. The pick-up was smooth and our driver was friendly. However, when we arrived, the crew was still setting up the balloon and seemed too busy to provide any instructions on what the passengers (24 of us) should do after getting off the bus. The wind started picking up, and the half blown up balloon began drifting toward the crowd until it hit a road sign and a light post before stopping. Everyone was confused as there was no clear communication from the staff. Eventually, one of the staff asked all passengers to help them “relocate” the balloon. That’s when we noticed a large tear in the balloon fabric. The balloon had a hole in it. I assumed the tour would be cancelled for safety reasons, but surprisingly, the pilot told us it was fine — that he could just “glue it up” and we could fly. There was no option to not fly or get money back and no talk of cancelling. All passengers, including myself ended up helping to move the balloon and get it blown up again. Once in the air we could still see a huge hole near the top of the balloon. The pilot kept reassuring us that it was “completely safe” and just a bit of “morning drama.” The flight lasted just under 35 minutes, not the 1 hour we paid for. To be honest, I was very nervous the entire time, and I could tell several other passengers felt the same. After returning, I researched and learned that flying a damaged balloon after a tear is unsafe and goes against standard aviation safety practices. I feel the pilot knowingly took a huge risk with 25 lives on board, including his own. This experience left me extremely disappointed and uneasy. I would strongly advise others DO NOT book with this company — Go Ballooning. Safety should always come first and this did not feel safe at all.

Such a disappointment, our initial flight over the gold coast was rescheduled for the following day due to bad weather. The following morning when we got into the coach we were advised we were going to Tambourine obviously not as planned but too late to change. On arrival while they did their best they couldn’t achieve any height resulting in us floating over two fields with the potential of landing in either. No sunset no views and no real flight, I do believe this flight should have also been cancelled rescheduled or refunded. After raising this with the team offered 50% off our next flight which we obviously couldn’t use.

It was an awesome experience! To see the sunrise over Gold Coast was spectacular. The views right down to Mt Warning and up to Paradise Point was clear! The staff could not do enough to help, and made the trip so enjoyable! My second balloon ride with them and would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you to all staff at Go Ballooning Nola
