• Great way to see the golden circle, Iceland.

  Deyan was our driver on our airport transfer and after chatting to him we booked a tour with him around the golden circle in a minibus/taxi for me, my wife and three boys. He arranged things so we were able to visit the sights when they were relatively quiet and only got busy as we were leaving. He also knows some great places to eat on the way. Deyan is very knowledgeable, friendly and fun which made the trip very enjoyable. At the end of the trip it felt much more like a friend was driving you around than someone you have paid.   We had a great time on this tour! Our guide knew the best places and the best order to see them in to avoid a good portion of the crowds in the busy season. A highlight for me was hiking through the continental plates at Thingvellir National Park. Highly recommend this tour!

  Our family of 6 really enjoyed our day with Deyan at the Golden Circle. He was very accommodating and helpful as we had an 84 yo in our group. Lunch was delicious at a family run dairy farm, but my most memorable experience was walking between the tectonic plates. I highly recommend this trip!

  This trip was great! Deyan (I believe that is how you spell his name) was a great guide--friendly, fast, and courteous. He let us set the pace for how long we wanted to stay at each location, and took us to a very charming (and delicious) dairy farm and restaurant popular with locals where we had lunch. Otherwise we had planned to eat at the crowded restaurants at one of the stops, so it was very nice to get to eat at a less busy but just as tasty place. Walking through the valley by the tectonic plates was a very surreal experience. I would highly recommend this trip!

  Booked Iceland on Wheels for several private trips- transfer to and from the airport, Golden Circle, South Coast,Snaefellsnes Peninsula and Northern Lights. Was super happy on all fronts. Starting with email communications- they were very responsive and provided comprehensive details, answering all of my questions. They were flexible and offered options that I hadn't considered (i.e. picked up from airport, went to Blue Lagoon, waited there and kept our luggage, and then drove us to our airport.) Our guide and driver, Deyan, was personable and knowledgeable, and the best of the bunch (of note, he isn't native Iceland but that seems to be the case for the tour industry in Iceland). Pickups were seamless in a large white van (2 rows and storage space in the back) that was amply spacious and smooth. (I wanted a more comfortable experience than a jeep). Information was provided throughout the rides and we learned so much about Iceland (from history to what it's like to live there to suggestions for what to do in Reykjavik- anything we asked was answered). Tips were given on different sites, including best photo spots. All 3 areas were fantastic with different highlights. We could not pick a favorite area. Northern Lights was amazing and they were flexible on that front. He picked spots that weren't crowded with other people, brought a tripod to take pictures of us and we enjoyed hot tea and hot chocolate at the end. I was especially appreciative of not being in a large group and being able to end our tours for the Northern Lights as I did not want to spend 4 hours in the cold. Of course, with any private tour, we could spend as much or as little time in each area. We hit all of the highlights and spots that aren't as well known. An amazing first time trip to Iceland made even more special by Iceland on Wheels. Thank you for a fantastic and memorable trip!

  It was a wonderful day, being a private vehicle allowed some flexibility if we wanted to stay less or longer at a particular stop . Our driver Essam was a great guy, very friendly and knowledgeable – and at both the Thingvellir National Park and the Gullfoss Waterfall he explained times each path would take to walk, whilst giving the option to stay in the vehicle if anyone didn’t want to walk. We would highly recommend this tour operator – in fact, during our stay in Reykjavik we booked them again for another trip to the Reykjanes Peninsula – which included Miðlína, Gunnuhver Hot Springs etc.

  We originally booked our transfers with Iceland on Wheels as they were a lot cheaper than Easyjet. We weren't sure what trips we wanted to do as it was a bit weather dependent. Right from the start Deyan was very helpful and friendly. We booked the sky lounge and asked if he could take us. He arranged a private transfer for us. We then asked about Golden circle and South Road trip, he said he could provide private trips for both. His prices were very competitive and we preferred the private tour so we could dictate how long we spent at each attraction. Deyan went above and beyond and planned routes and times to avoid as many big coach parties as possible. He also took us to some waterfalls the large coaches don't go to. He also suggested and booked some excellent places for lunch. Overall great service and local knowledge at an affordable price.

  We were a family of 6 and Deyan did an amazing job meeting our needs & interests. Vehicle was comfortable for all and ideal to sneak into those little hidden gems. From seeing all the sites, sharing his experience living in Iceland, to making us a lunch reservation at the Fridheimer tomato greenhouse, ice cream on the farm (baby cows) we all couldn’t have asked for a better day.
