I'm Captain Vic, originally from the south of France and a 10 year resident of Mauritius.
IGFA (International Game Fish Association) Captain/Guide.
Born into a fishermen family, I learned fishing very young with my father, godfather and grand father in the Mediterranean Sea catching the big Bluefin Tuna.
After my studies, I left France to fish at different places and see different techniques, including New Zealand, Australia and Mauritius.
After visiting Mauritius, I decided to stay here, in this beautiful island, because it's one of the best places in the world for THE BLUE MARLIN.
I like to share my passion with people from all over the world and I will give you the best advice to catch Marlin, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo and more...

Mauritius is among the most prized destinations for Big Game Fishing in the world, with many fishing Records, including the largest Blue Marlin caught on 80lbs test line. Located in the heart of the Indian Ocean, large predators like Marlin, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo and more species are present all the year. On our Big Game Fishing trip, we are mainly looking for fish like Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo and Dorado. We principally troll with artificial lures at high speed and fresh bait like small Tuna as livebait or deadbait. We are located in the best place for fishing on the west coast of the island between Port Louis and le Morne Brabant. Every year, grander (blue marlin more than 1000lbs) are caught in Mauritius.

5.00Great experience, got two ~150 kg blue marlins! Vic and his team are one the best big game fishing teams - very experienced in local waters, focused and engaged. Definitely will recommend to friends and come back to them when again in Mauritius

5.00An unforgettable experience with a passionate and respectful team! We were only two participants for this trip, and we chose this company after reading the many testimonials highlighting their responsible approach. Our expectations have been fully met. Ludovic and Damien take an exemplary approach: no haste, no harassment of animals. They take the necessary time and favour respectful remote observation. We had the chance to observe two sperm whales – certainly from a distance, but each time we were the first on the area, with a delicate and measured approach. The highlight: a magnificent group of spotted dolphins that accompanied us, an absolutely enchanting spectacle! Of course, we would have liked to see more whales and closer, but nature decides. What really matters is the professionalism, ethical commitment and sincere kindness of the team. For these reasons, we warmly recommend this sea trip to all those who wish to observe cetaceans in a respectful environment.

5.00Excellent boat and work by capt. Vic and Taiwan. Dream fish (Blue Marlin) caught. Great fighter that was released as it always should (extra plus). Value for the money? Yes! Coming back? Yes!

5.00Fantastic boat and very nice and professional crew. Successful fishing with catch of Blue marlin that also got to swim back out into the sea. Really appreciate the catch and release concept. Thanks for a nice tour Capt. Vic and mate Taiwan.

5.00Was an amazing day! The captain and crew were extremely knowledgeable, excited to be fishing, and great-spirited. They tried as hard as they could to keep the fish coming aboard and did an amazing job overall! Whether a beginner fisherman, or expert, I would recommend these guys 10/10!

2.00Extremely disappointing experience with this company. We had booked an excursion mainly to see the sperm whales, which was our priority. Finally, we saw only dolphins and were taken to Crystal Rock, a visit that was not planned and that does not compensate for the service initially sold. In addition, the rate was increased after booking on the grounds that a couple had withdrawn, which is not our responsibility. If the main activity could not be carried out, it would have been more professional to propose a postponement rather than to take us to do something else with no real alternative. Worse still, we are being offered reprogramming, but we are being asked to repay, which is totally unacceptable. We had trusted this company, recommended by our host, but we were clearly wronged. Just because we are young and tourists does not mean that we can be treated like this. A very bad experience, I strongly advise against. For much less, we had the chance to swim with sperm whales dolphins Spent the morning with them. And speaking with locals, apparently it’s their habit to do things like this. This is a scam.
