Children under the age of six are permitted to join this tour free of charge. Please inform us at the time of booking if you’ll be bringing a child under the age of six.
Please note, we won't access the inside of any of the buildings located at the following places: The Kings Yellow Houses, Rosenborg Castle, Christiansborg Palace, The Old Stock Exchange and Nikolaj Kunsthal. Instead we will experience all of them from the outside.
Travelers who show symptoms for COVID-19 will not be allowed to participate in the experience.

If you are going to get to the heart of hygge, you need to go back in time. We begin our Hygge & Happiness tour near the characteristic yellow houses of Nyboder, a famed local district. Here you’ll meet and greet your native guide and your group for the day. Your native guide is a bona fide Copenhagener who is super excited to share their knowledge of Danish culture with you, as well as local historical secrets that you won’t find in any guidebooks! And because our tours are for small groups only, your guide has plenty of time to answer

Your tour takes you through the oldest parts of the city, where you experience hidden gems in the form of cobblestone-filled streets, timber-framed houses, and green refuges of calm amongst the urban sprawl. Krusemyntegade is one of the cobblestone-filled streets that just scream hygge with that old world charm. It’s a great example of how hyggelig our city can be if you just take the time to wander.

5.00Oscar D. was an excellent guide that worked hard to be informative and engaging. He personalized his presentation at each stop and tried to make personal contact with us throughout the tour. It was a small group which allowed us time to get to know each other. Oscar told very interesting facts and stories throughout the tour. I would recommend to tour to everyone who wants to enjoy a well paced tour with refreshment stops along the way included in the tour.

5.00Our tour guide Sandra was delightful. She welcomed all participants and chatted easily while the group got together. She gave an overview of the tour and with a warm energy she lead the tour with an easy pace to follow. The historical information on the city, the culture, and the concept of hygge was interesting and well delivered. Sandra stayed mindful of the cold and snowy conditions, spacing out the food spots at just the right intervals to give us a chance to warm up. The pastries and chocolates were delicious. Sandra asked us about our trip lengths and offered additional avenues to add to our trip itineraries to learn and see further. I definitely recommend this tour, especially if your trip is short.

5.00Our tour with Oskar P. was fun and very informative. Oskar’s combination of historical knowledge and local facts made our time together quite enjoyable. The only thing which may have made it even better was Denise. Sadly, Denise was a no show. 10/10 thank you Oskar P.!
Very enjoyable morning and Sandra was great company and full of interesting information. It was a perfect start.

5.00Jacob was an amazing tour guide- we had such a great experience and felt we could truly appreciate what makes Copenhagen such a special place of be. I feel I got more than my admission fee's worth in experience, dining, and culture. I had a great time and felt that each of the attendees were included in conversation. Jacob gave great individualized recommendations. This tour helped to make the most of my last day in Copenhagen!
