We took this hike/tour on the S. Kaibab Trail with some friends who were also interested in learning more about the history, formation, and geology of the Grand Canyon from a biblical, global flood perspective. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the issues and presented excellent information throughout the hike. The presentations were fair and factual without being heavy handed or indoctrinating. The guide provided good information while allowing participants to think through the issues. One negative was that the initial presentation at the rim was too long and wordy. We were ready to start the hike about 15 minutes before the guide finished his initial presentation. Fortunately, when this was mentioned once the hike began, the guide graciously received our feedback and shortened his presentations at each stop so we could continue the hike to reach Cedar Ridge. The guide handled questions from the group graciously and knowledgeably. The other issue we had was a breakdown in communication between the guide and the main office. We were told by the main office that the guide would have hiking poles available for anyone in the group who wanted them so we didn't need to bring our own. Well the guide didn't know anything about this, so he had no hiking poles! Fortunately, several in our group had brought their own poles and even had a few extras to share with those who needed them.

We did the hiking tour with Emilia while on vacation in AZ and we were mind blown with how amazing it was. Emilia was so knowledgeable and made the day so enjoyable. She was an excellent teacher. The tour far exceeded our expectations and was such a blessing to my husband and I. We thoroughly enjoyed both the ties to Scripture as well as the history of the Canyon. This tour was recommended to us by friends and we will definitely be recommending it to others!!

This is a trip that words and pictures cannot do justice. You must experience this personally. Our experience could not have been the best trip ever if not for our tour guide, Dana Allen. Her knowledge of the Grand Canyon, its geology and its history is unmatched. She was able to point out bible verses that likely explained the majesty and awe of the Grand Canyon. On our arrival, the weather didn't seem to want to cooperate. We knew it was meant to be though. When it was time to hike, the drizzle/rain abated. During our hike, the weather went from mostly cloudy to brief periods of sun. Without the on and off periods of sun we couldn't have possibly seen the beautiful colors within the canyon. Once our hike was done it was time for a little souvenir shopping and wouldn't you know it, it began to rain a little. When it was time to see more of the canyon, yes...the rain stopped. When we went outside, God reminded us of his promise never to bring a flood again...there was a rainbow INSIDE the canyon. We would do it all again, with a little longer of a hike, if we knew Dana Allen would be our tour guide again. She was truly a phenomenal tour guide. Grand Canyon Christian Tours is lucky to have Dana Allen as a tour guide. Thank you Dana for a wonderful experience!

Because of the fires this year, our original plans were changed, but we were not disappointed! We did a 3 night, 4 day backpacking trip down the Grandview Trail to Cottonwood Creek and Horseshoe Mesa. We also took a day trip to hike down to the river. Our guides did an awesome job! They helped us prepare well ahead of time mentally and physically for the grueling trails. During the trip they were great teachers, patient and helpful, and spiritually encouraging. Our faith in God's Word was strengthened by the teaching from a creationist perspective on the Grand Canyon. The views were incredible...the moments to worship were frequent...the food was tasty and varied...the conversations were memorable. We were stretched out of our comfort zone by the physical challenges of the hike, but our guides were with us each step of the way. The whole experience exceeded our high expectations! I would definitely recommend Canyon Ministries to anyone looking for an opportunity to explore the canyon and learn about God's creation! Thank you, Canyon Ministries!

Our tour guide was Dana; Amelia was also along as a trainee. Both Dana and Amelia were very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the canyon, answering questions and providing interesting facts as we hiked down to Cedar Ridge. They were aware of our need to rest and allowed us time in the shade when possible. We highly recommend Canyon Ministries for folks who want a Biblical perspective at the Grand Canyon! It was one of our trip highlights for sure!

This was the first time for my wife and me and another couple, who are long time friends of ours, to visit and see the Grand Canyon. We decided to signup for the South Kaibab Trail tour with Canyon Ministries to get better aquainted with the canyon and how the biblical creation story fit what we would see/saw. It was a perfect choice! Dana our hiking guide was excellent! The content and clarity she delivered information was really great. The care and leadership down into the canyon and then backup was very well done. Amelia who was training with Dana also was a wonderful compliment and helped enhance the experience. There was a total of 6 of us under Dana and Amelia's care and they did a great job personalizing the tour to fit our group. They lead us with just the right balance of allowing us to explore and go at our pace and yet kept us reighned in enough to keep us safe. The courtesy and respect they showed and demonstrated on the trail to us and to other people we came across was inspiring. Thank You for such and incredible experience. I reccomend this to everyone able to physically make the hike, to check it out, and do it if possible.

We had an amazing hike led by Dana, who was amazing, patient, and encouraging for the entire trip. The Grand Canyon is beyond grand, my daughter said it looks like “AI” because it’s so beautiful it doesn’t look real. It truly is a world wonder! Dana shared biblical truth with us as she led our hike, highlighting what God’s word has to say about creation. I love that my kids were able to hear and see all that she shared. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and patience with us!

We would recommend anybody wishing to take a tour of the Grand Canyon to book with Christian Ministries tours. Our experience was over the top. The factual knowledge of the tour guide, Dana Allen, and the presentation as we walked into and out of the canyon was extraordinary. Her message was tantamount to one of the best sermons I/we have ever heard regarding the biblical account of the creation of our earth by God. The facts presented backed by biblical scripture was right on point. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
