5.00Our guide was Sillas. What a nice guy, very enthusiastic and could tell well. He knows a lot about history. Without him the tour wasn't so much fun!! Highly recommended. Costs a bit but is definitely worth it.

5.00Our guide, Thomas, was excellent, knowledgeable, very friendly and accommodating. Hamlet Tours has really put together a great one day experience outside of the city meant for those of us who are only in country for a few days. We highly recommend this tour!

5.00The tour was informative and Sillas was the best! He has a great sense of humor. Learned many Danish history facts. I would highly recommend choosing the tour and specifically ask for him as your guide.
NO ROOM FOR YOU Hamlet tours left us on the sidewalk and drove off. No guide or transportation mid tour.

1.00On October 8, 2025, we were booked on a guided tour with Hamlet Tours in Copenhagen Denmark. Our tour guide was Thomas. A small bus showed up at the hotel to pick up our group. Hamlet Tours did not send enough busses to accommodate all of the group that they sold tickets for. Thomas, the tour guide for Hamlet Tours, loaded the tour bus and told the remaining 12 people to wait behind and more transportation would be sent. He drove off with the bus on the guided tour. Eventually a taxi did show up, but still it was not large enough for 12 persons that were left behind. 6 of us boarded the taxi while the others waited on the sidewalk. This was not a guide coming to pick us up for a guided tour, this was a taxi driver who was not really sure what the plan was supposed to be and was asking us what we were going to be doing. We headed to the first stop on the tour, Kronborg Castle. Upon arriving at the castle our taxi driver pointed and told us to get out and walk to the gate and Thomas would meet us there. We walked to the gate but no one was there. The taxi driver had given me Thomas's phone number so I called Thomas. He answered and rudely told me that we were only 1/3 of the way there and he was not going to come for us. We walked further into the castle grounds and found someone willing to help and direct us, got ourselves inside and found Thomas and the group. The remaing 6 people left behind had not even arrived yet. The group members of the "guided" tour with Thomas told us they had been there touring the castle for about 30 minutes. Eventually the rest of the group arrived in the second taxi. We then boarded the taxi and moved on to the next stop. Again, the taxi driver was unsure of the plan as Thomas and the guided bus tour drove off leaving our taxi driver to figure it out for himself. Again he asked us what we should be doing. We made a stop at Fredericksburg Castle, and then on to the next stop, the cathedral. Again our taxi driver was unsure of where exactly we should be going, driving around and around. We found the cathedral and entered. There was Thomas continuing with the tour. Thomas stated that we only had 3 minutes before the cathedral was closing as he brushed by us ushering "his" group. The other group that was left behind, had not even arrived yet with their taxi. After exiting the cathedral, and back on the sidewalk, where the Hamlet Tours bus was parked and our taxi had dropped us, there was no taxi or driver for us. He, (our taxi driver), said Hamlet Tours did not want to pay him anymore and stated that he would be leaving when he dropped us off. Thomas was oblivious to this, and gathered "his" group and they all boarded the bus. As Thomas was about to leave with the bus, one person from our group approached him with the fact the rest of us did not have any transportation as our driver had left. Thomas called his office, put 2 of us on the tour bus and took off leaving 4 people standing on the sidewalk once again without transportation. My husband was one of the 4 left behind. A taxi eventually arrived and picked them up. At the next stop, the Viking Museum, Thomas was already leading "his" group around and was unwilling to speak to the issue. He stated "these people", (his group), want to continue on the tour now. On the drive back to the hotel, Thomas, who had forgotten that I was on the bus to hear everything, continually spoke to the other passengers encouraging them to get on their phones and give him a 5 star review and anything less, even a 4 star, would ruin his ratings and cause him to not get as many tours and lose the bonus he had worked so hard for. He was telling the group how to get online and give the star rating as the bus drove back to town. Thomas then commented to the group that he only talks to smiling happy people. I am in total disbelief and shocked that a tour company would behave like this. We did not get a guided tour that the bus passengers got, and we also paid for, and we were left on the sidewalk twice as Thomas rode off with the Hamlet Tours bus on his guided tour. Throughout the tour Thomas and Hamlet Tours were unconcerned with the safety and situation of the tour passengers who were left standing on the sidewalk in an unfamiliar place. My husband was one of the people left on the sidewalk at the cathedral. He had to speak on the phone, with the office of the taxi company to translate language because the taxi driver was demanding payment and refusing to converse while he kept the meter running. Hamlet Tours had called the taxi to pick up the 4 people that were left stranded on the sidewalk but did not offer to pay the fare. THE TAXI FARE WAS PAID BY ONE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GROUP THAT WAS LEFT BEHIND AND NOT HAMLET TOURS. I would absolutely not recommend Hamlet Tours for tours or transpirtation.

5.00This tour was brilliant saw so much in one day and our tour guide Sillas was absolutely fantastic 👏 he was super informative and really funny. Would definitely book with this company again!
