5.00Brian, our guide, was outstanding. He made our trip thoroughly enjoyable, loads of great information, history and stories. He looked after us all so well. All the landmarks were very interesting. Thoroughly recommend this trip and if you’re lucky to have Brian as your guide you’ll have a fabulous day.

5.00Our day with Sillas May 22 was just perfect! The vehicle was comfortable, the distances between sites quite manageable, and most importantly, he was a really excellent guide! Though we might have liked a little more time at a couple of the sites, his expert timing helped us see four major attractions in a single day. He was courteous, good-humored, and generous with sharing his knowledge and insights into both the places we visited and Danish life in general. Though the tour may seem expensive, EVERYTHING in Denmark is expensive; we both felt this was excellent value for the money we spent. I highly recommend this tour company and Sillas as a guide.
Grand tour was grand!

1.00In booking this tour, it is critical that one decides on the date before booking as after booking the tour, it is not possible to change tour date easily unlike other tours posted on Viator. In second half of 2025, I booked this tour for 11 May 2026 under Reserve Now and Pay Later option as that was the original plan. Thereafter, due to flight changes, there was a need to change to 18 May. In Jan 2026, I asked Viator for help to change date but they could not change date of tour. Viator asked Hamlet Tours for help but no help was rendered. After asking Viator sveral times, I had no choice but to ask Hamlet Tours directly for help. I emailed to Hamlet Tours and they said Viator was supposed to change the date of tour. I was made to go to both parties to and fro from Jan 2026 to end Apr 2026. Many rounds of request before it was finally changed. Imagine the amount of effort just to change date of tour. On the day of tour, a mini-van arrived and there was a driver cum tour guide, named Thomas. Being a tourist, one will normally carry bags. When he saw my 2 bags, 1 small backpack and one tote bag, he rushed me to put them on the storage space above the seat. He said he needed to drive off as there was no time. Seeeing that he needed to drive off soon, I requested him to let me hold on to my small backpack while I am seated so that I could take out some essential items and put them in a smaller bag and when the van stops, I could put my small backpack in storage space above the seat. He disallowed and said that by me holding on to my small backpack, the bag might fly forward to hit him. From the photo, one could see that I was not seated behind him. It is normal for anyone to hold on to his bag on a coach by putting on his lap. No driver ever has an issue. I knew there would not be enough time when the van arrives at the tourist site for me to take out essential items, eg handphone, umbrella, sunglasses and such. Thomas is an impatient person and at the first destination, he rushed people to get down the van. He said that the website already stated no bags allowed except for very small ones when visiting sites. It was never stated anywhere on Hamlet Tours website or Viator website. There was no prior advice given on bags. At Kronborg palace, his allowed 2 danish people to carry backpacks into the palace. At the beginning of the journey, he alleged that I was unhappy and he did not want anyone on his van to be unhappy. He threatened to turn back to Marriott hotel if I was unhappy. After I told him I had already paid for the tour, he kept quiet. Despite his rudeness, I was still in friendly tone when speaking to him. He drives so he better drive properly for the safety of everyone. One could sense he is an arrogant person. Thomas forgot he is in service business and customers need not bow down to him. At the end of tour, he gathered everyone and hinted to everyone to give him 5 star rating. 5 star needs to be earned and not asked. This is one tour which no one would join if he has prior knowledge of the service level. The driver cum guide is the most critical person for any travel agency. I am surprised at Hamlet Tours conducts tour this way even though it positions itself as a luxury tour when selling its tour. When reaching Frederiksborg Palace, Thomas recommended us to eat at a resturant. He said the resturant is crowded so when we order, we should mention his name. Also, when we pay, we should mention his name so as to have a shorter queue. Surprisingly, when we reached the resturant, the resturant was not even crowded. So, one wonder how the need to mention his name is beneficial. It is not enjoyable to join a tour where the service is poor and worse, to be threatened by its sole driver cum guide. Being a tourist, it is stressful to go with such a tour. One may not mind the small vehicle, which means one cannot have a good view when looking out of the vehicle windows. But, to be mistreated by a driver, it is shocking. I guess treatment to an asian is different on this tour.

5.00Fantastic full day trip visiting 4 key sites. Our driver and guide Sillas couldn’t have been better. Smooth pick-up, he kept us full informed of the days itinerary and lots of factual information throughout the day. A must do trip if you want to understand more about Danish history.

5.00If you want to have an amazing day with an impressive guide that takes you outside of the city limits of Copenhagen, then this is the tour for you!!! we had the best day with our incredible guide, Sillas, who kept the entire group entertained and captivated with his storytelling! He truly blew us away!! we got to see amazing architecture and all the important spots outside of the city as well as learn about Viking history and culture. The van was very comfortable and we didn’t drive for longer than 45 minutes at a time. It was just so perfectly planned and very convenient to hop from castle to castle. Sillas answered every single question our group had and shared an endless amount of fun, digestible facts that really stuck with us. This is a must do experience!! Thank you Sillas!!!

5.00Excellent way to see a lot of sights around Copenhagen! 100% recommend this tour. Thomas was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and fun. He kept the tour moving and got us through all of the sights without making it too rushed. The stop at each sight is perhaps shorter than if I was just seeing a single sight but Thomas have historic context for each castle or church so I don’t feel like I missed out on much. I liked getting to see multiple sights on one tour, so it was definitely worth a little less time at each to see multiple things!
