Ujarma Fortress

Our first stop will be the Ujarma fortress. It's believed then in the second half of the 5th century, famous Vakhtang Gorgasali (founder of Tbilisi) erected numerous buildings in Ujarma and moved his residence there. After Vakhtang’s death, his heir Dachi was ruling Kakheti for some period from here. In the 10th century, Ujarma was destroyed by the Arabian forces of Abul Kassim. In the 13th century, the fortress was restored by King George III, where he arranged treasury.

We spent a wonderful, "grand" day with Friendly.ge in Khaketi region. Khatuna, who speaks English very well and boosts a natural enthusiasm, swiftly guided us through castles & vineyards added by various religious artifacts. Khaketi is the best wine region in Georgia, with a rich variety of grapes and we had wine tastings in a wine cellar, in an industrial wine company and at a local winery located in someone's home. Each time valuable and clear information, each time amazing taste. Needless to say food pairing with Georgian wine will now entertain all our guests.
11/7, can recommend: better than game of thrones.

Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable. Learned more about Georgian history and culture here than 2 months travelling the rest of the country.

We had a great time on this tour! Our tour guide Khatuna was amazing and so fun. She had many interesting insights on every location we visited. All the locations on the tour were so scenic and beautiful. Would definitely recommend this tour and our fantastic tour guide Khatuna!

We spent the unforgettable 12 hours traveling in Kakheti. We made a lot of stops and saw a plenty of beautiful places. Mountains, wine, fortresses - everything was amazing! Thanks to our guide Alexy, he is a young, friendly and very responsible person.

Amazing tour!!! The itinerary is great because you get to do a lot in just one day. The Kakheti region is beautiful and definitely worth visiting. Guram was my tour guide and was simply amazing. He was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He really showed me what Georgian hospitality is. Would definitely recommend this tour.

To say it was an amazing day is not saying anything. There are no words to describe my emotions, feelings, feelings. It's a million+500% delightful day, which is exactly the kind of birthday I've been dreaming of. For the hundredth, thousandth, millionth time, I thank you Alex, you made this a unique day. On such a special day for me, I visited the most important and revered Temples of Kakheti, touched the relics of Saint Nino. I strolled through the most beautiful streets of Signahy. It really does resemble Italy in some ways. Alex and I took a leisurely stroll through the various sights of the town. Next, we went to an ethnographic restaurant in a private estate, the beautiful botanical garden Vineria Kakheti. It's cozy and soulful. The most touching moment was when I was greeted on my birthday, a song was sung, and then there were so many good wishes, toasts! This is the first time these people have seen me!! I am very grateful to Alex for such a celebration of the soul!!! And if you want to have the same unforgettable time, turn to Alex, he will easily make your dreams come true!
