No trip to Sydney is complete without a visit to its most famous building and the best thing to do when you visit the Sydney Opera House is to come inside and see an opera performance.

Please ask staff for assistance with receivers which are available from the Concert Hall and Opera Theatre cloak rooms and in the Drama Theatre, Playhouse and The Studio foyers.

Dogs or any animals trained to assist people with disabilities are welcome inside all theatres and restaurants.

A number of spaces are available for wheelchairs in each theatre at the Sydney Opera House. Wheelchairs are available from the Stage Door for use by patrons free of charge. Wheelchair access is by ramp from the southern entrance of the Concourse. Undercover wheelchair access is available from Stage Door and the Sydney Opera House Car Park. It is essential that you specify any needs when proceeding with your booking.

Performances run on specific dates and times. These dates are provided and times will vary depending on the date selected.

All performances have full English subtitles projected on a screen above the stage. Performances of Great Opera Hits will have Simplified Chinese subtitles.

This was a perfect way to see the Joan Sutherland Theatre and enjoy some of the best of Opera. The singers were incredible and passionate about sharing their knowledge and talent with the audience. Bravo!

This turned out to be really a fun experience! None of the six of us that were traveling together know much about opera, but the performers made the performance so engaging and interesting that it was really a fun presentation.

Great if you've never been to an Opera before. Gives you a little taste of familiar music and songs from various Operas. Lasts for 90 mins which includes a break. Highly recommend.

The iconic Opera House is a must see when visiting Sydney. The tickets we received were in the middle on the top level. Sight line was excellent and hearing was great - even though I wear hearing aids. The seats are comfy. We no issue retrieving our seat tickets at the Opera House and the performance of “highlights of famous operas” was excellent and the performers were talented. Whether an Opera fan or not, you will enjoy this 90 minute performance.

We purchased tickets to the Sydney Opera House through Viator. The ticket voucher provided through the Viator App was quickly turned-into theatre tickets at the Sydney Opera House just before the performance. We enjoyed the performance Great Opera Hits! Different performances occur depending on the day you go. Attending opera is a must-do when in Sydney. We highly recommend it!
