No trip to Sydney is complete without a visit to its most famous building and the best thing to do when you visit the Sydney Opera House is to come inside and see an opera performance.

This performance has English and Simplified Chinese surtitles.

Surtitles in English and Simplified Chinese are projected above the stage to help you follow the story of each piece.

The concert runs for approximately 90 minutes, including one 20‑minute interval.

A number of spaces are available for wheelchairs in each theatre at the Sydney Opera House. Wheelchairs are available from the Stage Door for use by patrons free of charge. Wheelchair access is by ramp from the southern entrance of the Concourse. Undercover wheelchair access is available from Stage Door and the Sydney Opera House Car Park. It is essential that you specify any needs when proceeding with your booking.

Dogs or any animals trained to assist people with disabilities are welcome inside all theatres and restaurants.

Audio receivers: FM receivers can be collected from the cloakroom prior to the performance. These are provided with headphones or personal induction loop.

Is was basically an introduction to Opera. Some song are very recognizable you hear them all over. Some are not. The performers enjoyed themselves and made it a fun experience. It wasn’t really my music but I can say I visited the Sydney opera house. All staff and security was very friendly and helpful Viator; not so helpful. Basically they sell you a ticket and tell you where to go in a very non exacting way.

Absolutely great experience at the Sydney Opera House, great performance with entertaining opera arias, very good singers who entertained very well overall recommended. Pleasant seats, at least for an opera house.

The Opera experience was wonderful. Communication as to how to get to and from the event leaves a lot to be desired. There was no communication from Viator once the tickets were purchased other than to say the event is coming up. No pick-up/return from my hotel location was offered. I am never able to download a ticket or confirmation. I would still recommend this, but also suggest doing your homework before arrival to avoid long lines and delays in picking up tickets.

Visiting the opera was amazing but seeing an opera and then the opera hits took it to another level . This experience made our holiday special

It was a pathetic spectacle. No sets. No costumes. Just four opera actors in ordinary suits and ties, looking very tired. A few arias were performed, accompanied by a piano that was right there on the stage. It looked like a performance by the theater's second or third cast on tour in a provincial town. And tickets cost an average of $100 per person for a 90-minute performance with a twenty-minute intermission. The money for the tickets was simply thrown in the trash. I strongly advise against this performance. Sydney has many more tourist attractions. This is the ultimate disrespect for the audience. At worst, just go to a nice restaurant with the money you plan to spend on tickets. We were very disappointed with our visit to this performance. We left during the intermission. And we were not alone.
