The city, which in its heyday was one of the country's most industrialized, is today rather a multicultural melting pot with a movement and power that is unique, where much of the old is taken advantage of and merges with the new. A new city takes shape, new buildings create new neighborhoods and become symbols of Malmö's rapid change from an industrial city to a green, global and urban knowledge city.
