This tour is suitable for those who come visit Guangzhou from Hong Kong by high speed train in the morning and back to Hong Kong in the evening in one same day, without staying a night in Guangzhou. There's high speed train commuting between Hong Kong and Guangzhou so makes it easy to drop a visit to Guangzhou even you have your accommodation and limited time in Hong Kong.
We will pick you up at Guangzhou south or east train station(the bullet train stations) to start the tour, visit the major sites in downtown Guangzhou and at the end of the tour, drop you off at the same train station for your return train back to Hong Kong. This is a tailor-made private tour only for you (your group), highly flexible and the itinerary could be customised based on your interest or special request. The tour incorporates both driving and walking, sightseeing as well as trying some local food. We will follow up with you to firm up the itinerary after you book this tour on Viator/Tripadvisor.^_^.

Your local English speaking tour guide and private car driver will pick you up at Guangzhou East Train Station(in downtown city, 1.5 hours bullet train from HK West Kowloon) or Guangzhou South Train Station(south outskirt not in downtown city, 1 hour bullet train from HK West Kowloon), holding a sign with your name written on it, and start the tour straight away from there.

5.00My friend and I certainly got lucky the day we chose Guangzhou Local Tours for a full day tour of the city. Damon was our guide - mid. 30s, university educated, personable and professional, speaks excellent English. A story teller, Damon has an impressive depth and breadth of local knowledge including history and cultural traditions., He met us inside the railway station (we had exchanged photos and arranged a meeting place on What’s App beforehand . I recommend this.) He had a driver and car waiting for us outside. Having a driver freed up Damon and it also meant the driver was always at a pick-up point waiting for us . The day was divided into seeing both the old and the new with a break to enjoy a delicious Cantonese specialty - a Dim Sum lunch in a restaurant in a busy shopping centre . (An optional extra but well worth it) The old GZ is charming . We saw, eg. Chinese opera in the park; locals at leisure, people playing games; a sculpture park in an old Arts Village , and the fascinating British French Concession island now preserved as a heritage area . In sharp contrast, we also saw the new GZ - big and bold , with a WOW factor due to the brilliant architecture of the Canton Tower, Opera House, the city’s impressive Library, the fantastic Guangzhou Circle/Gold Coin office. (On a personal note: in my late 70s, I appreciated Damon care, offering a hand when needed to make sure I stayed safe on steps and stairs.) 5.00Excellent day out with Damon who had discussed with us prior to the day of our tour what we were interested to see. He picked us up at Guangzhou station with a driver and although Chen Ancestral Hall and the Yue King’s tomb/museum were closed this day, he suggested we see the newest part of Guangzhou and had a delicious dimsum lunch too

5.00Damon is knowledgeable and shared many stories about the history of Guangzhou. We had a delicious dim sum lunch and overall a wonderful day with him as our guide. If you have only 1 day and would like to see and learn more, Damon is the go to guide!

5.00What a great to see Guangzhou in a day. Our guide Damon was so knowledgeable and took us to a lot of amazing sites. Lunch was absolutely fantastic and we got try things we haven’t tried before. This is a great city and we will be back for sure to explore more. He even surprised us with a little gift! Highly recommend.

5.00A well organised itinerary and a knowledgeable host. We had a great day and packed a lot in for the time we had. It was reassuring to not have to think about how to get around as it was all covered. We were met on our arrival at the station and delivered back to the gate after seeing so any historic sites and having a great dim sum lunch. A huge thank you to Candice for being so efficient and communicating with us from booking to departure.

We first went to the Baiyun mountain where we could see the city skyline and sightsee some wildlife living there. We took a cable car down and enjoyed a 360° view of the city. Then we went to Sun yat-sen temple, took a couple of photos and went to enjoy some traditional dim sum lunch. Afterwards we went to the city square to enjoy some shopping and finished the trip with a visit to the famous Canton tower and the Guangzhou library. The guide was very helpful and flexible with the day planning, therefor we could combine the city sightseeing with a bit of shopping and street strolling!
