This private city tour focuses on foreign layover travellers who have a flight stopover in Guangzhou with China Southern Airline and take advantage of the 24 or 144 hours free transit visa policy to leave the airport and enter the city for a tour.
We can pick you up at Guangzhou airport or layover hotel to start the tour, visit the major sites in downtown or the famous skywalk glass bridge and at the end of the tour, drop you off at the airport(or your layover hotel) for your connecting flight depart from Guangzhou.
This is a tailor-made private tour only for you (your group), highly flexible and the itinerary could be customized based on your interest or special request. You will have a full experience of Guangzhou from a local's perspective with the company of a knowledgeable local guide and a private air-con vehicle with driver, and have traditional Cantonese dim sum for lunch/dinner. Important note: though most layover(more than 8 hours) travellers could get the 24/144 hours free visa to enter the city from the airport, Guangzhou custom never promise 100% permission for temporary transit visa application, if in any case you are rejected the visa and couldn't leave the airport for the tour, NO REFUND would be issued for this layover tour, as payment had already been prearranged for the private tour guide and car driver service reservation in advance. Your knowledgeable local English-speaking tour guide and private car driver will come and pick you up at Guangzhou airport (Gate 53 of Terminal 2, the exit for international flight travellers) or your layover hotel(offered by China Southern Airline), holding a sign with your name written on it. You can choose to store your luggage at the airport(or layover hotel) or put your luggage in our car/van to start the tour. Message your guide if it takes too long for queuing at the Free Visa application counter before you meet.
Baiyun Mountain
Pay a visit to the "Lung of The City"-Baiyun Mountain, take scenic electric car going up the mountain, walk around the peak square, take beautiful photos of the green forest with mountain atmosphere, see local people exercise and playing shuttlecock, visit a bird park and view the downtown city from the observation platform. Take cable car coming down to view the area from the air.

5.00We had 2 nights in Guangzhou, so only had a day to see the sights. We choose the half day tour as we were doing the evening cruise tour as well. We wished we had more time to do the full day. We enjoyed our guided tour with Damon and particularly liked being able to select what we saw. The highlight was our lunch in the Dim Sum restaurant. The food was well selected and a great experience. Damon gave us lots of interesting information during the day. We would recommend him.

5.00We had a day to spend in Guanghzhou and booked a 4 hour layover tour. Picking us up from our airport hotel, our excellent guide Damon showed us some of the heritage sites of the city and we ended with a super Dim Sum lunch at a traditional tea-house, before dropping us back at the hotel.
Excellent experience I suggest very!

We went to 5-7 historical spots. From the old city to the new city we saw lots of things!

5.00Damon was a wonderful guide. I went solo so we squeezed a full day into 4 hours. We say old historical things all the way to new modern shopping districts. He showed me how the locals live and where the tourists go. He was wonderful!

5.00We have a great time during our layover in Guangzhou thanks to Damon who showed us both traditional and modern sides of Guangzhou. We were also able to taste a large amount of delicious dim sums. I would heartily recommend him to anyone who has more than 8 hours of layover time in Guangzho!

5.00My tour guide was punctual and met me on time at our designated area in the airport. We exited the airport and the driver arrived in seconds. I was able to leave my carry on bag and an extra bag in the car while we visited different places. It was really good not having to carry my luggage around. It took an hour for us to drive from the airport to Guangzhou City. We spoke in the car for the drive. I learnt lots about Guangzhou. It was wet, Candice had brought an umbrella for me. We walked through old town, I was taught Cantonese tradition and building architecture. We also stopped at a market so I could pick up souvenirs. I had issues with my alipay for some reason. It had worked throughout Shanghai and Beijing. Candice helped with translating and getting my wechat to work. We stopped at a Dim Sum restaurant for dinner. We also went to a park with the tallest tower and skyscrapers. The library was very interesting and very advanced. The tour didn't feel rushed at all. I was a bit sad when we departed as she continued home while the driver drove me back to the airport. Candice was very kind and gave me a cute set of Panda bowls and chopsticks. I will cherish these. This is the tour to choose if you have a long layover and want to get a glimpse of Ghangzhou. Tour guide is helpful, caring and courteous. The communication was great from the start of the booking and before my arrival. The driver is lovely too! Highly recommend this tour!
