Starting your tour at 8am you begin your adventure with a beautiful scenic drive to a replica of Old Peñol in Guatape. This town square was constructed to look exactly like the sunken village of Old Peñol at the bottom of the manmade Peñol-Guatapé reservoir.
You then venture to Guatape Rock also known as Piedra del Peñol, where you can climb the 740 steps to reach the top and have an amazing 360° view of the surrounding area including the 500 km shore-perimeter dam.
Before you head back to Medellín you will make one more stop in your tour; Guatape town (The City of Zocalos) where you’ll walk the streets of this beautiful town and learn what is the Zocalo tradition and why it started. You’ll also get to visit the Plaza (main square), Remembrance Street, boardwalk (Malecón) the church and more.

5.00BnB organized two tours in Medellín with the amazing Erika as well as 5 days in the coffee area and all the airport shuttles in between. It took all the stress out of the trip and the communication and transport was excellent. Erika is a fantastic guide, passionate about her city, funny and immensely kind. I became violently ill and her care and concern was unbelievable. BnB Colombia can tailor a trip to your requirements and I thank Patrick for creating and amending an itinerary to suit our needs. A blend of independent travel with transport only and days with a guide. The Guatape tour was great, the town is beautiful.

5.00The best part of the trip was our Tour Guide Erika. She make all the stops possible and make sure we felt comfortable and happy with our tour. The places er visit where beautiful and we knew the full history behind it in our own language.
