The most complete Art Deco tour of Napier, this guided walk begins at the Art Deco Centre with an audio visual introduction from your local guide. Your tour will take you through the Art Deco precinct and viewing building exteriors.

Individual headsets and earpieces will be provided so you will be able to hear your guide clearly.

Our tour was hosted by Kieth, a volunteer who was a ‘ninja’ on all things Napier, not only did he know everything about the architecture styles, particularly Art Deco, he was passionate about Napier. He first took us through a PowerPoint on the history of Napier and we then did a walking tour, with the whole thing lasting around two hours. It was probably too long for us at two hours, but other than that it was great to learn, thanks Kieth.

Excellent walking tour of Napier. Starts with a slide show explaining the architecture followed by a walk to see it. Excellent informative guide. Video at the end shows earthquake footage and after We also learnt a lot about the area of Hawkes bay.
