5.00We scheduled a Bike tour, but inadvertently booked a tour in Dutch. As Americans, other languages are not our strong suit, so our options were to cancel or just take the trip without understanding the guide. Honestly, it was our fault, so I figured I’d either have to use the translation app on my phone, use ChatGPT as a guide at each stop, or just enjoy the ride for the sights. The last thing I wanted or expected the guide to do was to accommodate us by changing the language or having to do multiple languages. In fact, before we started, the guide operators made it clear it wouldn’t be fair to the main group to accommodate us, nor did we want them to. Despite this, our group, a lovely Dutch family, insisted our guide ‘Sylvie’ conduct the tour in English on our behalf. Sylvie was wonderful, prioritizing the English translation and giving clear explanations of what we were seeing. She took us all around the town so we saw all aspects of the city. Everything from historical sights, to residential areas, the marina, and even the red light district. She handled the group well, directing us as needed and making sure we stayed safe. In the end, we had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this tour and Sylvie in particular. One thing I want to highlight though. If you find yourself in a similar situation, please DO NOT expect them to make the same accommodation for you. This was unexpected and a very kind gesture from the rest of the group.

5.00The bike ride was fine! Good bikes. Not a very large group. The guide Leo was clear, friendly, with the necessary humor! I have been doing guided bike tours for years in the cities I visited, usually they were 3 hour bike tours of which there was a small break for a coffee or a snack from the relevant city or country maybe that could be a nice addition
