Let us take you back some 2000 years ago, when the ancient Nazca flourished in one of the direst and arid deserts in the world. Here, you will be taken to admire the ancient aqueducts of Nazca an ancient irrigation system this system used to collect water from underground water channels and from the Andes mountain, to bring life to the lowlands of Nazca. The aqueducts are considered one of the first hydraulic engineering systems built in the ancient world which enabled them to handle drought strategically and grow crops.

Cantalloc Aqueduct

You will be picked up from your accommodation with our private shuttle and taken to the aqueducts of Nazca. They are located a short drive from the city center of Nazca. Our local guide will take you inside the aqueducts and you will see from close the crystal clear water still flowing through the channels! Besides our guide will give you a complete explanation of how the aqueducts were built, what material it is made from and to what purpose they were built. As an addition from the aqueducts it is possible to see ancient geoglyphs of a feline animal. Also the aqueducts are surrounded by the famous HUARANGO tree. This tree is considered to be a holy tree by locals and by the ancient people of Nazca. Come and discover more why in this fascinating tour!

Really a very disappointing experience, given that the promise is that the tour would be an hour. However the guide Luii, was always running and we ended up on a 30 minute tour. Without being able to fully enjoy the architectural wonder of these aqueducts. And always accusing for the time . . . In the towers to see the Nazca lines only allowed a visit of 10 minutes and was asleep all the way from huacachina to Nazca.. definitely the price paid per expectation ratio of the tour were totally disappointing.

A very short tour, half an hour max at the site. Guide was engaging and interesting, but only spoke for 10 minutes the rest of the time you wander at will.

Very beautiful aqueducts, an example of the pre-Inca engineering of the area. Even today the vast majority are still in force. It is on the outskirts of Nazca, you can get there by crossing the city or skirting it from the road and entering a few meters

This was an unexpected pleasure. We booked it through PeruHop. We did the airplane tour of the Nazca lines in the morning and had time to waste before our trip back to Huacachina. I booked this for myself and 3 teenage boys. They loved it. They were able to walk down to the base of the aqueduct and see the water and even fish swimming in the water. We had plenty of time to explore the area. Our guide was great in his explanation of why the aquaducts were constructed here. He also answered questions about the Nazca area in general. I highly recommend this tour to gain more knowledge about the history of this area.

The tour was amazing!! I learned a lot about the nazca civilization,how they found underground water, how they built the acuaeducts and how after more than 2000 years arr still ther. The guide Carlos was excellent, very knowledge, kind and funny. I definitely recommend this tour to all the who are visiting Nazca

An excellent tour with a lot of history to discover, a quiet place, the guide was excellent in giving us details of how these aqueducts were made and what their function was, definitely a highly recommended Tours.

I booked the private aqueduct tour through PeruHop on my recent travels. My guide was very knowledgeable and I found the tour interesting and amazing that the aqueducts are still functioning after all these years! The Inca people sure were advanced in their building and planning.
