We run away from the city center to idyllic landscapes of Kvaløya to enjoy: blue hours of polar night, snow, sun or snowstorms and to try snowshoeing the easy way - without climbing high mountains.

Before return we visit the local gem hidden on the shore in Ersfjord - Bryggejentene café - to relax over a cup of coffee, tea or chocolate and their famous cakes.

My friend and I had a wonderful Morning snow shoeing with our awesome and knowledgeable guide Thomas. We had beautiful views up there on the mountain and the top was even better. The cafe at the end was a nice way to unwind and learn more about Tromso. Highly recommend this adventure!

We started at 9am and the guide picked us up. I was with my 12 yrs old son, and turned out that it was only us!! We were so lucky. The guide drove us to the foot of the hill, I guess it was like 45 min or so from Tromso. (On the way, we saw some wild reindeers!) It was still very dark, so we started with our headlights on. It was our first time snowshoeing, but we got the hang of it quite well, thanks to our guide. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We climbed quite high up and the scenery was breathtaking! The guide made sure we were following and everything is ok. On the way down was a bit hard for me because of some slippery rocks, but also it was more fun to slide down over the abundant snow! Especially my son was having lots of fun going down. Everywhere you turned your head, it was like a postcard. Really stunning nature all around you. After our snowshoeing, we were taken to this very cute cozy cafe, facing the Fijord. Looked like a hidden cafe for locals. It was still snowing, and the view from the cafe was amazing. The cafe had a little boutique downstairs full of cute plates and ornaments. I had the best cake and hot chocolate!! (I tried to upload pics, but somehow I keep getting error message) I highly recommend this tour, everything was well-organised and we had great fun!!! Thank you for the wonderful time.
