We have just spent a beautiful moment of nature tonight ! It was really amazing to see those little fellas going back home to rest. The organisation is well done, we had some really nice explications about the life of the little blue penguins but also regarding the history of this land. I would recommande this activity 100% ! You will remember it forever I assure you.

Patience is rewarded when these cute little penguins come up the beach to their burrows. However, we recommend you go when they are not in moult. When we visited at the end of March most of the penguins were still moulting and remained in their burrows. Although we were very lucky to see around 10 of the little guys waddle right past us on the track to the burrows, many other people in the group did not because they were at the opposite end of the viewing platform. Many of them, including children who had waited patiently for over an hour, were therefore disappointed. We think it is unfair of the organisers to offer tours when the penguins are in moult. Once the lights were turned off we could hear lots of penguins chattering to each other in their burrows as we walked up the steps back to our car. It was quite frustrating but we count ourselves lucky that we did actually see some penguins up close.

Intro presentation was nice so we knew what to expect. Penguin viewing was terrific in spite of the pouring rain. Weather can change quickly so be prepared.

Excellent talk to us about the penguins and the charity running the session. Very informative guides. Wonderful to see the penguins returning though due to the time of year we attended there were only around 20 penguins tonight.

Awesome trip well worth the visit. Penguins are the stars of this visit. But staff obviously care greatly about habitat and birds they are responsible for. I'm
