Walking atop a deep layer of snow, you listen to the steady rhythm of your breath. A gorgeous mountain landscape stretches as far as your eye can see and you let the image sink into your mind. For us, hiking is more than just another outdoor activity, it is the most intimate way to experience nature. A way to immerse yourself in the moment and put things in perspective, to clear your head and refill your batteries. Follow us into the wilderness and experience it for yourself! The exact route will be determined after the weather conditions and the wishes of the group. If the weather allows, we’ll have homemade chocolate cake and something hot to drink on the trail while we admire the views – otherwise, you can enjoy the snack around an open fire in our Gamme after we return.

This was an adorable experience! We booked the morning snow shoe hike which was accompanied by teenage huskies! We popped our snow shoes on and got straight into the hike which was over beautiful snowy hills above Tromso with amazing views down over the fjord and of the snowy hilltops. We stopped halfway for a tea break; we were offered hot squash, tea, and homemade cookies. All delicious! I got my turn to walk one of the young huskies, Superman, on our way back. We then got to snuggle next to a fire and have more hot drinks and cake. After that we then had an opportunity to meet the other dogs which was lovely! One of our guides, Clementine, even came round and pointed out her favourites and was very friendly. It was a really great experience and well worth a visit! The only thing I would add is that you definitely need to be ready for a workout, pulling young energetic huskies is no joke!

great experience, we all got in a coach for a 30 minute ride to tromso wilderness centre (located on a island) then we were given waterproofs and boots ( which i would recommend) as it was snowy and sleeting during the walk, we were also asked is we would like to take the huskies out for a walk ( 2 adults and 2 puppies) and we took turns in walking the dogs attached by a leash to a waist harness, strong dogs, we stopped after 45 minutes in a sheltered area to have hot drinks and cake and then walked back to the centre, we were given a tour of the kennels and introduced to younger puppies of 4 months . we were given more hot drinks and cake in the small circular hut whilst we warmed up. the passion of the guides towards the dogs well-being was impressive. strongly recommended and this centre has been around for ? 30 -40 years

Superb activity!!! It was our first snowshoe trip and it was perfect. The team is listening to you, despite our very fragile English 😅 An accessible snowshoe trip has everyone's rhythm, incredible contact with dogs and little care with fire and snack. To do again with the same agency without hesitation!!!!

Pick up in the center of Trømso and transfer to the island of Kvaløya where we will carry out the activity. Snowshoe walk for an hour and a half, visit the husky family and finish the activity with a hot drink and homemade candy.

A wonderful experience snowshoeing across beautiful landscapes. We did about 5k in total, with a stop half way through for hot drinks and biscuits (supplied by the guides). The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and were more than happy to answer any question we had. We took 2 dogs on the hike, which I enjoyed very much! We spent time in the dog yard after snowshoeing, which was amazing

Yesterday we had a husky tour here. It was like visiting friends. Anyone who needed it got thermal clothing and shoes. We all got snowshoes and anyone who wanted poles. Nadja and Leo led us through beautiful scenery with short breaks. During a longer break with hot drinks and biscuits we were given information about the island, flora and fauna. After 2 hours the group was able to warm up in the center and enjoy chocolate cake and drinks. After an entertaining introduction to the center and the dogs, anyone who wanted could go and visit the huskies. Since we had enjoyed it so much the day before, we joined in straight away. We gave the dogs a few cuddles and were able to ask Nadia and Leo a few more questions. When it was time to say goodbye, it was hard. We felt really comfortable. The people were all nice, open and helpful and the dogs were cuddly and considerate. They were two great experiences.

I had a very good guide on the Snowshoe hike. Hope I remember right, when I say her name was Vicki, she was from Sweden. For me it was luck, I was the only one booked on the hike, the day I went. So had a lot of time to get to know the dog and had some nice talks witn the guide. I got to walk with the dog for a lot of the hike. Which really was a great experience. There where a bit of learing for both me and the dog, but at the end it went well.. I can only recommend it. The quite times in the mountains, with a fresh air, nothing can beat it.. Just remember even if you think it is cold, when you start the hike you will get to be warm..

We were lucky with the weather (blue sky), but what a wonderful day we had. Beautiful walk in the snow, accompanied by guide Charlotte and huskey Ali, some hot chocolate down the road and at the end a big hug with the puppies
