Vina del Mar
The history of Viña del Mar begins with the arrival of the conquistadors and the division of the Peuco Valley into two large haciendas: the "Seven Sisters", named after the seven hills that are located between Cerro Castillo and Cerro Barón, and "La Viña del Mar", named after the vineyards planted on the land now occupied by the Palacio Rioja. Around 1870, the sole heiress of the lands that gave rise to Viña del Mar was Doña Mercedes Álvarez, married to José Francisco Vergara, an engineer who had come to the region to work on the railway works. It was he who drew up a project, approved on December 29, 1874, through which the city of Viña del Mar was officially founded, and five years later, the Illustrious Municipality.

The Brahian demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the history, culture and curiosities of the region, always explaining everything with clarity, sympathy and good humor, which made the experience even richer and pleasant. Sérgio was extremely professional, driving the vehicle safely, calmly and attentively throughout the journey, giving us total confidence. The combination of a attentive and well-informed guide with a careful and experienced driver made all the difference for the tour to be organized, comfortable and unforgettable. 5.00I did the day tour between Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. I'll start by saying that I'm skeptical of organized tours, especially one-day tours, they're often just hop-on and hop-off for souvenir photos. But our guide, Paulina, made everything interesting and enjoyable. She's curious about every corner, and the day flew by. Very enjoyable. Our driver, Sergio, was also very punctual and reliable.
