The tour-guide will accompany you in every room and exhibit, mostly at the sections about WWII and Communism era explaining what you'll see at each pavilion because at the museum not everything is translated in english. (Open Tuesday – Saturday 09.00 – 17.00; Price: €5/Person).
Unknown Partisan Monument
The Unknown Partisan Monument is a war memorial dedicated to the wariars that fell during WWII. The Monument is a great example of socialist realism, and depicts a soldier raising his right hand waving troops forward while holding a rifle in his left. This is a perfect spot to talk about the glorification of the partisan war and the ways dictator Enver Hoxha used it to condemn his political rivals.

5.00Albiona gave us a fantastic tour of sites relating to communist times in Albania and gave a brilliant overview and explanation of how the system functioned, why it collapsed and the wider political and geopolitical issues which Albania faced over much of the 20th century. She is extremely knowledgeable and was able to give us a lot of fascinating insights. The tour was comprehensive, lasting more than three hous and ending with a complementary glass of Raki in a rather nice bar! Albiona is passionate about her subject and brought it alive for us. I highly recommend this tour with her.

5.00Fantastic historical walking tour of Tirana for any one interested in its communist past. Albiona was very knowledgeable on the history, and answered a bunch of question. I highly recommend this tour!
