All places have legends and Antigua Guatemala is no exception. On this tour you will hear the most famous and dark legends of the city and Guatemala, while we walk the cobblestone streets and visit iconic places: such as:
The Church of Mercy
The Arch of Saint Catherine
Central Park
The Union Tank
The tour is only for the brave and history lovers, as we will walk through the streets of the city that was once the capital of Guatemala.
Among the Legends to tell are:
"The cadejo" a dog that can protect you or chase you to bite you.
"The carriage of death" a carriage that leaves at night.
"La llorona" the story of a woman who lost her children.
"La Tatuana" a witch who lived in Antigua Guatemala.
"The legend of the Owl" mysterious animal for the Mayans.
and many more.
We will start the tour at 6:30 in the afternoon and end at 8:30 at night.

5.00This was great. I thought it would be more ghosts and catacombs, but it was more about Mayan stories, but I didn’t mind it. The guide was super informative and gave great history of Antigua as our group walked around.

5.00Luis is a wonderful guide and host. Very warm, professional, humorous, and engaging. His style of storytelling is very informative and entertaining. He also handles delicate topics of religion or politics with either humour or diplomacy. Our only suggestion is to pack an umbrella or raincoat in case of rain, but definitely don't cancel or postpone because of it!
