From the centrally located Waterfront to the quiet bays and panoramic lookouts, you’ll be enthralled from start to finish. These quality electric bikes are easy to use and suitable for any level of fitness. If you can ride a bike, you can ride an eBike! Your guide will keep you safe with helmets provided and full riding instruction. The tour is lighthearted, fun and engaging with the focus on riding and finding the best view points. You’ll get a local’s perspective on the culture and history of our vibrant city and surrounding bays. This tour mainly rides around the Wellington's stunning bays, with minimal city riding.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

Riders must be comfortable riding a bicycle on the road (mix of path, on-road cycle lane and regular roads)

Riders must advice height if under 59 inches (150cm)

Remember sunscreen in summer

Please dress appropriately- bring an extra layer in case or wind

Moderate fitness advised- pedalling activates the electric assist

Age Restriction: 13 Years

The tour requires a minimum of two people to operate. We will contact you prior to your tour time if the minimum number is not met.

Riders should be comfortable with some physical exertion when riding electric bikes up hill

Patrick was awesome - knowlegeable and friendly! The ride was our best tour yet in NZ! The bikes made for easy travelling so don't be concerned about your level of fitness. Highly recommend!

This tour is an absolute must. Really enjoyable. Bikes were well maintained. Extra clothing available if needed. Guides were making sure we were all OK during the tour. Loads of information during the ride. Absolutely loved the day. Included is a drink or ice cream, which was a bonus. I did the 4 hour tour, loved every minute. Thank you 😊

So much fun. Guide was knowledgeable and showed us many different sites and advice about what to see. The electric pedal assisted bikes were great enabling us to get up hills with ease.

This was a great bike ride. Went up to the water tanks and had a wonderful view. Ebikes are awesome. Pedal as much or as little as you want. It was pretty windy - when it was a side wind you really had to careful but the guide warned us of this. Don’t hesitate to- easy and great ride with an e-bike.

A very enthusiastic young guide showed us in particular the waterfront and the coast of Wellington Bay. Along the way explanations and history from the Maori to the settlers to the recent earthquakes and the latest wild life project. The electric bike makes it easy despite that one hill and especially the strong gusty wind. Good bikes, great helmets and if you want visibility vest

We had a fabulous trip. Jack was very knowledgeable and made the trip very interesting. Easy cycling except for one steep hill, which wasn’t a problem at all on an e-bike. The ice cream towards the end was also a nice touch. Would highly recommend!

Switched on Bikes picked us up promptly, outfitted us with our bikes and took the time to be sure we were all confident before proceeding. Jack looked out for all of us and paced the ride perfectly.

Christian, the tour guide, was fantastic and so knowledgeable about history! It was a great e-bike tour. Very easy and beautiful ride. Great views. Would definitely recommend!
