Witness the dawning of a new day atop Haleakala (the house of the sun) a dormant volcanic mountain overlooking Maui on the east side. Deep canyons and slopes and unspoiled terrain are home to endemic Hawaiian Nene geese and rare Silversword plants.

You'll be transported in a comfortable mini coach to 9,740 feet elevation, close to the summit to witness the ultimate sunrise; a spectacular show of lights and colors. The sunrise tour is an unforgettable experience and a definite must-do on your Hawaii vacation. On the descent, marvel at sprawling scenic views of Kula and the Pacific Ocean on your way to breakfast at local favorite, Cafe O'Lei at the Plantation in Waikapu.

Haleakala is known for rapidly changing weather conditions and dense clouds and rain are common. As a result, clear viewing of the sunrise is not guaranteed, and the tour operates rain or shine. Refunds will be granted only when the tour is cancelled for safety reasons.

The high altitude at the summit area may complicate health conditions and breathing difficulties. Elderly visitors, pregnant women, young children, and those with respiratory or heart conditions should consult their doctor prior to touring. Walk slowly and drink water to avoid dehydration. If you have gone scuba diving, you should wait at least 72 hours before going on this tour.

We were never picked up for your, we tried reaching out many times and no one could help us. They are refusing refunds for their mistakes. Wasted a whole day on this planned trip that was never completed, now I am wasting more time trying to recover funds back

We had a wonderful experience. Our tour guide, Preston, was great. Was very knowledgeable, funny and very welcome. He answered every question and made the experience feel like a family get together. Just make sure that you dress appropriately for the weather at the top. The rule of thumb is the top is 30 degrees Fahrenheit colder than sea level and that doesn't account for the wind chill. It was 40 degrees at the top when we went and with windshield it felt more like 20. Also make sure that you can take the layers off as when you have breakfast you are back at sea level. Also there is not a guarantee that you will see the sunrise due to the cloud cover but you can always book a sunset to try to capture it. Preston made a point that even with the cloud cover you should stay out because the clouds could open up and you ccould get a glimpse of the sunrise at any moment and he was right. Highly recommend.

Dress warm! It was real feel 31 degrees and very windy. Hats, gloves, layers! It was amazing and our guide, Preston, was wonderful. He was informative, funny, very personable and kept us on schedule but we never felt rushed.

Dress very warmly in layers with a hat, socks and gloves. You are above the clouds and it is cold. During the sunrise there may be a chant/song welcoming the sun. After the sunrise, be prepared to be awestruck by the crater below you and for the most beautiful landscape vistas as you descend to the valley below. If I had a bucket list, this would be near the top!
