The Ponoig Via Ferrata has an approximate length of 230 meters and its difficulty is K4. It is quite vertical, so it is ideal to have covered something else that is less difficult. Even so, it is not essential, since with us it is suitable for those who are also starting out in this daring sport.

The route of the Ponoig Via Ferrata is divided into two well-differentiated sections, although both vertical. As soon as you start climbing you will realize how many staples you need to grab to get to the top. They are quite close together, so verticality is more impressive than difficult.

The climbing is quite continuous, since there is hardly any room to rest. It provides a great feeling of height, despite not having too many dynamic elements, such as hanging bridges, handrails or hinges.

The Ponoig Via Ferrata is located in the town of Polop, 20 minutes from Benidorm. It is one of the most interesting via ferratas in Alicante since most of its route is vertical, with athletic and aerial steps. The installed material is mainly staples. Although the ascent of the Ponoig Via Ferrata is quite an experience, its descent is not short. And unlike other via ferratas, which have a path or path to go down, on the Ponoig Via Ferrata you have to rappel to go down. Of course, from the top of León Dormido you will have an incredible panorama of the entire territory.

Superb via ferrata, Vicente and Toni are very serious and good supervision for people who are not comfortable on the via ferrata, with beautiful energy all along the way out.

It was our first ferrata experience and it couldn't have been better. The instructors Toni, Juan and Jonhi are very attentive, they are professionals at what they do and they also enjoy what they do, and it shows. You feel confident at all times and with constant motivation from the guides. The route is incredible due to the mix of its views, path, ferrata and rappelling. We will return to try another of your experiences.
