Before we go into DMZ area and do ID Check, will look through Bridge of Freedom, Mangbaedan Altar which is historical sites related to Korean War.
The Third Tunnel
■DMZ(Demilitarized Zone) The 3rd Invasion Tunnel. This is walking course into the tunnel. Take your step into the 3rd tunnel which is one of thrilling tunnel as close to 1.95 meters high, 2.1 meters wide and 1,635 meters long. It was thought to be more threatening as an invasion tool than the 1st and 2nd Tunnels.

5.00Had a great time with tour guide Jason! He gave great insight into the history of the Korean War, DMZ and shared the different perspectives of the North and South Koreans. He shared his past military experiences which shed more light on the tensions between the North and South. His friendliness and knowledge made the entire trip extremely educational yet fun! All in all, the DMZ experience was fun and Jason is a really great guide. I found his past military life very interesting, so I recommend you ask him more about it! Thank you Jason!!!

5.00Our tour guide Jason was very knowledgeable and friendly! We had a good time with him and learnt new things about both North and South Korea. His past experience of being in the military made it more memorable. It was a one-of-a-kind experience and I truly recommend the tour with Jason!

5.00This was a unmissable experience if you visiting Korea for the first time. Jason was a great tour guide. He has real military experience from serving on the North Korean border which made the tour particularly insightful. We also heard from a North Korean defector who gave her story in Korean with Jason translating, and candidly answered questions from our group. Our group was about 30 people which was manageable. We visited in peak cherry blossom season (early April) which meant leaving from Seoul (Hongik Station) at 5:50am (usually 8am). We arrived to the ticket purchase site around 7am. There were other groups ahead of us, but Jason managed to purchase tickets by 9:30am, allowing us to complete the tour through to the DMZ, returning to Seoul before 3pm.

5.00Jason was our tour guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and invested. We were contacted by the company 2 nights prior that the start time would change from 820 am to 550 am. Apparently April-May is peak tourism season so the tickets for the DMZ get sold out if your tour guide isn't at the site by 630 am to line up. We were lucky enough to be one of the last groups to get tickets but it did involve having to wait around at the first site for several hours until our allotted time slot. So just be aware, pack a warm jacket and snacks/food as it can feel like a long tjme. This isn't the fault of the guides or companies. There are just limited tickets and it's all on a first come first served basis. The sites themselves were interesting and Jason provided first hand knowledge as he was a career soldier with the military. It was a good day and I recommend this tour.
