  This EXCELLENT review started long before the trip began. Mike’s communication was amazing. Questions were answered quickly via email and phone calls. Our guide Phil was AWESOME! “Chill Phil” knows that river! He knew where the fish were laying and put us right over them. Within a minute of our very first drift, my wife caught a beautiful Rainbow Trout. We all caught fish, while learning different techniques, sightseeing and having fun. “Chill Phil” had an eye on everyone’s line, while making suggestions, navigating the beautiful river and pointing out wildlife. Talk about multitasking! Such a fun trip. We highly recommend Alaskan Angling Adventures and “Chill Phil” as your guide.

  Mike from Alaskan Angling Adventures did not disappoint. Mike supplied us with all the gear we needed for the day including the coffee. He was very patient in showing us how to fly fish as well as other styles of fishing . A day of salmon fishing on the Kenai River. What an experience we had, my husband isn’t in to fishing one bit but thoroughly enjoyed this adventure. Mike made sure we all experienced the fight of reeling in a salmon when fly fishing. At the end of the day Mike cleaned and filleted all our fish for us and made sure we knew where to get it packed and sealed.   The best day of our Alaskan adventure! My grandsons’ fishing experience has only been in Michigan for bluegill, trout, etc. Nothing compared to fishing the Kenai for salmon. Mike Adams took us to the right spot at the perfect time of day. He was very patient (how many times can you snag a log?) and taught the guys the techniques needed to catch and land those beautiful fish. The scenery is gorgeous and a bonus for us was the bear we saw while drifting downstream. Highly recommend Mike and Alaskan Angling Adventures.

  Mike, our guide, was attentive, easy going, and knowledgeable. He made sure each member of our group was set up for success and had a great time. We will go back again and will definitely book again with this company.

  The guide was fabulous - Mike Adams. He supplied everything & was most responsive leading up to the trip. I was expecting to fish from a boat but that was actually a small part of the trip. We were supplied waders to fly fish from the river. It is a very fast moving river & I just felt unsure of myself. My husband loved it & caught 5 fish with Mike’s help. It was a good overall experience but would only recommend to someone familiar w fly fishing

  Mike is truly an expert and professional fisherman! He has so much knowledge about Alaska (fishing, conservation, etc.) and is willing to share with his guests. Despite the unseasonably cold weather, our party of 4 (3 adults and 1 child) had an amazing time on the river with Mike as our guide. He was very patient and took the time to explain things for all to understand (especially our 11yo son). The picture says it all! 👍

  Such a blast! Mike came recommended to us by a friend of ours, and we would 100% go with him again next time we come to Alaska! He was so patient with us and really took time to explain the river and the fish we were searching for. It is also clear he has such an appreciation for the land and each fish that we caught and released. We were shocked at how much time we spent on the water- from 6am to last 2pm!   If you are looking for a fresh water fishing trip I 1000% recommend fishing with Mike! He was absolutely amazing with our daughters! He is so down to earth, respectful of the fish and wildlife and knows what he is doing! We watched other guides standing back and not really actively participating. Mike was in the water with us the entire time helping and encouraging us. And wouldn't you know, WE were the ones catching all the fish! If your kids are wanting to fish, this is your guy! Even if you don't, you'll have a memorable trip with Mike! Hands down the most memorable part of our entire trip!

  Our favorite adventure from our trip was fishing for salmon! We weren’t sure we wanted to spend the money going with a guide service because we thought eh we know how to fish we can just rent some gear and go but no this was a whole different world of fishing! Having a guide was WELL worth it! We learned so much our guide Mike was awesome! He was super friendly and so knowledgeable about the area and wildlife, we were able to see lots of bears! I was also impressed how patient he was with my kids,it was the best day ever for my 12 year old. If your in Cooper Landing definitely check out Alaska Angling Adventures.
