We have Combined our city tour of Helsinki with a ferry journey to Suomenlinna Island on this half-day excursion. A guided tour while walking through the cobbled streets in Helsinki Senate square, visit the Helsinki Market Square, the Helsinki Cathedral the symbol of the city of Helsinki. Enjoy a walk in the Esplanade Park and marvel at the architecture of Uspenski Cathedral, Oodi library and The Parliament of Finland .

After Helsinki walking tour we take a ferry to Suomenlinna Island, a sea fortress which is a UNESCO world heritage site. Discover this 18th-century sea fortress and learn about several historic events that has shaped the fortress over the years with a guided walking tour.

Besides a few sights of Helsinki, we were particularly intrigued with the 17th and 18th centuries’ stories of the Swedish and Russians in Suomenlinna Fortress.

Marija, our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and we had a great time walking around Helsinki, it’s a great walking city and the fortress at Suomenlinna has some incredible history and the view from the cannon ridge is something else. Highly recommend this tour.

I have spent wonderful day with my private tour operator Sari and driver Jorma. I had leant many historical stories in Helsinki from her, which made my trip more memorial time. They helped me out to make my flight time, I do really appreciate for their heartful support to the end. The day was definitely one of my best time in my life. I highly recommend this tour to everyone!

We had an amazing time with our tour guide (Olga) as we discovered the city and all the important landmarks ! We chose to begin the tour near the Kumpulan kampus tramway station instead of the city center and it was perfect as it gave us the chance to know a little more about where the city’s story really began 😁 We also loved all the funny and historical stories she share with us ! 😄 We definitely recommend giving this tour a try if you are interested in discovering Helsinki, the Suomenlinna Fortress and the history behind their foundation 👍
