If you're on a ski vacation and looking to mix it up, ice climbing is a great adventure. Doing this activity with a guide will give you the opportunity to experience something out of your comfort zone that may be wildly different than anything you have ever tried before.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with mountain trip guides. We did a half day ice climbing lesson. I was with my two boys ages 15 and 11. Our guide was Carly who was incredible. In just a short period of time she had us climbing with ease. It was extremely safe and comfortable. Her knowledge is outstanding as is Todd and the rest of the crew. If you are looking for an activity to do one afternoon if you are not skiing, I would absolutely recommend this. It is such a unique adventure, and one that we will be back to do again.

This was a bucket list item for many of us and we were a tad apprehensive. Carly our guide was fabulous. Her calm demeanor and clear instruction helped us to scale the ice. This was a wonderful experience that we will do again.

Awesome time! So recommended for anyone traveling. It is such a new and fun experience. Steven, our guide, was also such a delight to meet and talk with. He made sure we were always comfortable and taught us so much about this CO region and the world of ice climbing. It was a fun experience and really unforgettable.
Had a great time and our guide was excellent.

Our guide Bobby was the best. Great teacher and so knowledgeable about the area and ice climbing. Would love to try it again.

My son and I have shared many adventures over the years with the team at mountain trip. Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, and the Alaskan range to name just a few. Every trip has been exciting, fulfilling (some arguably life changing), and done with the utmost professionalism and safety. Our recent trip to Ouray to ice-climb "the fingers" in the gorge was no exception. Jesse, our guide, and friend, was excellent. He went over the basics we knew and taught us plenty we didn't. Just as we "mastered" one climb he had us on to the next more challenging run. It was an overall great day with photos and memories to last! We have been long term clients and wouldn't climb, trek, back country ski, or summit anything without the mountain team trip with us!

Mountain Trip took us on an ice climbing adventure, and it was AMAZING!! My teenage daughter and I went with some friends, and we felt 100% safe and had a blast. It was a truly memorable experience. Our guides, Harrison and Grant, are top notch. GO DO IT!! You'll never forget it.

I wanted to thank Todd and Grant for an amazing ice climbing experience at Bear Creek. Todd was so helpful in coordinating the trip, very easy to work with and very responsive. And our guide Grant was fantastic, he got us geared up and we hiked right from town to the top of the river gorge then rappelled into the gorge and did a bunch of loops up the ice flow. His instructions were so helpful, he was fun and made us so comfortable as first timers, including a great focus on safety and learning. I would highly recommend this winter adventure!

Just wanted to thank the Mountain Trip organization for our recent great adventure ice climbing with Carley. My son Michael and I had the pleasure of doing the Via Ferrata with you guys a few years ago, which was amazing, so naturally we were thrilled to do our first ice climbing adventure with you guys as well in February. Carley was fantastic and made us feel comfortable throughout the experience. We look forward to sharing another adventure with you guys soon. Attached are a few photos from our day.
