Enjoy a half-day guided walk on Banks Peninsula, a spectacular extinct volcano only 30 minutes from Christchurch. Experience world-class views and see some of New Zealand's most stunning coastlines with an experienced local guide.
Godley Head is a beautiful coastal track with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and also Lyttelton Harbour. It includes historic landmarks from WW2, an Antarctic cabin, and quaint little beaches to boot. The walk is 4 km and takes around 2 hours to walk, plus plenty of time to stop and enjoy the scenery. The track can be adapted by the guide on the day.
With your own guide, you can set the pace. Both morning and afternoon walks are available, see the highlights and be back in Christchurch in time for lunch or dinner.

5.00We were collected by Nichole from our hotel and driven to a lovely spot that provided us with a wonderful opportunity to see the area outside central Christchurch and then experience a stunning hike along the Godley Head Scenic Reserve trails. Nichole was super informative and friendly. She returned us to our hotel after. We highly recommend booking with this company.

5.00We had a half-day excursion with Flick, who took two couples (me and my husband and the other couple we were traveling with) on a walk along the stunningly beautiful Godley Head Loop, and drove us around the outskirts of Christchurch, while imparting tons of information and wisdom about Christchurch as well as New Zealand and its history and people. The vehicle was lovely, new and clean, and she provided walking sticks, water bottles, snacks, and had rain gear at the ready. Flick could not have been more delightful, intelligent, helpful, fun, easy to be with and educational- we loved her. We left the experience with a real appreciation for why New Zealand is a very special country.

5.00Great Morning!! The walk was so beautiful and just rigorous enough to get the day started! Emma (our amazing guide) was full of knowledge and tons of recommendations. She clearly loves Christchurch and made us love it too! Water and healthy snacks provided! Clear pre-tour instructions. Highly recommend!

5.00We had a great morning hiking the crater rim with Kate! She was just the best - so knowledgeable of all things NZ, the areas we drove/hiked, and an open book in sharing her experiences. Her energy and kindness truly made the experience wonderful. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and decided to sign up for the crater rim walk. We got so many beautiful photos, a great work out of climbing down and up the hill sides, and a unique chance to see parts of Christchurch we wouldn’t have on our own. If you have time on your tour, we would highly recommend heading down to the shore to see the batches! Kate helped us maneuver the paths to keep us safe and comfortable, and we had the best time adventuring together!!

5.00We had a half day crater rim walk with Ita, who was informative, entertaining, and took great care of us. Nichole was our contact person and did a fine job keeping the communication flowing. The only way this could have been better would be a full day tour!
