• Lovely day out on Beautiful Fitzroy island

  Did the half day tour leaving Cairns at 1045 and returning 3pm.Fitzroy island is beautiful and pristine,there’s lots of little walks you can do and there is a turtle conservatory.Nudie beach(it’s not a nudist beach)was divine,enjoyed a swim in crystal clear water.Lots of people were snorkeling which looked fun.Our glass bottom boat tour was cancelled due to poor conditions but they took us for a 30min boat trip around the island which was nice.I would have loved to had longer on the island but we were catching a late afternoon flight back home and this trip fitted our schedule well.A very big thank youto the wonderful staff who were so kind and helpful to my Mum who is nearly 90,even helping me get her off the glass bottom boat and up the sand.We really appreciated it.A very enjoyable day.Thank you

  The upper deck seats were wet and when i asked for a towel to wipe the female crew member slammed the door on my face. the island bathrooms were smelly and unclean. the cafe did not have proper food at 8 am the shop did not have insect repellent every where wet and dead leaves debris. Poorly managed beautiful island.

  We had the most relaxing time on the Island. We got to see a turtle under the water and the island was stunning with such a chilled vibe.

  Fitzroy Island is incredible. A few things were not quite clear however in the "trip description" that I booked. 1. it says "snorkel equipment not included" so we went out and bought this prior to our trip. I wish we knew that you could rent it there. 2. you're basically just purchasing round trip transportation. Had we known that we would have chosen the "full day adventure" and come back on a later boat. You're basically just paying for transportation to/from the island. The island itself was beautiful and the staff was pleasant. I just wish these things were a bit more clear in the booking.

  The island is spectacular! But wouldn’t call it a tour. It’s a $90 ferry from cairns. No tour, no assistance from staff, no food, no drinks as mentioned. But island is amazing and definitely worth visiting

  We booked the morning session and it was perfect. Not too hot and not too chilly! Ferry itself was pretty relaxed and not super lengthy. The island was breathtaking! Beautiful walks/hikes & beaches! Definitely recommend :)

  I went by myself to take part in the snorkelling, it was an amazing experience. All staff were informative and the whole process was easy. Would definitely go back and do it again.

  Fitzroy Flyer had the worst communication I’ve experienced on a tour. My booking confirmation clearly showed a 2:00 pm return, but when I arrived at the island, I was told the boat had left at 12:00 pm. I never received a boarding pass or any email about the change. Staff blamed the booking app instead of taking responsibility and made me feel it was my fault. In the end, I had to wait until the 5:00 pm ferry, which caused me to miss another tour I had already booked. To make matters worse, other guests who missed their ferry were accommodated on a different boat—but only because they were resort guests. This lack of communication, accountability, and fairness completely ruined my day. I would not recommend Fitzroy Flyer. And viator contact was also useless as they never got back to me with a solution despite chatting over 1 hour.

  Perfect way to see the island. We got to see a whale on the trip to the island. Very knowledgable staff
