Join this small-group cycling tour to explore the countryside of Penang, Balik Pulau. The tour will start at 7am from your hotel where we will transfer you to Balik Pulau. Exploring the town by bicycle has all the advantages of going by foot, combined with a much greater action radius and cooling breeze. If you want to experience Balik Pulau hideaways and countryside, touched by the charm of Malaysian way of country life at personal level, bicycle is a great way to do it. This tour will bring you to see local life in the Penang countryside. Away from Balik Pulau town there is a labyrinth of minor roads, pathways and alleys. Cyclists are treated as pedestrians, so you can use bicycle to explore fruit orchard, plantation, mangrove, fishing village and dozens of traditional Kampung in Penang.

5.00Had a lovely morning on the tour. Eddie is fun, safe and incredibly knowledgeable. I learnt so much about Malaysia and had a fun cruisey bike ride. Would recommend!

5.00Just 4 of us on this trip with Eddie our guide. As others have said he is funny & knowledgeable. Bikes are functional & safe for the 10k we travelled on flat, mainly tarmac paths with occasional roads (but not much traffic) water is provided plus snack & drink in village cafe & ice cream from the goat farm. You learn a lot from Eddie about the local way of life. The Trip is good value for money. Only negative is the early start - 7.20 pick up from Batu Ferringhi. But on the plus side we were back for 11.30.

5.00Loads of information about the local area and delivered by TC in a fun way. TC was a great guide and highly recommend for anyone to do this. Fantastic ice cream at the goat farm and heaps of animals that you can feed. Make sure you check the friendly emu.

5.00Eddy was fantastic. He is able to deliver great information about the Malaysian people and their way of life with humour allowing you to retain it. We were able experience coffee in a small fishing village and goat’s milk ice cream on the farm. Eddy is a great host and we recommend this tour!

5.00Eddie our guide was funny, informative and interesting. The landscape and food was perfect. It’s about a five mile easy ride with several informative stops. We even stopped for a light brunch followed by ice cream at our last stop.

4.00This was incredible. There’s so much beauty and hidden gems to see along the ride. You get to experience the true natural culture that exists on the island and enjoy a one-of-kind experience. I’d do this again.

5.00Great tour of Penang countryside. Our guide Eddie was excellent. He was very informative & gave us a great insight into life in Malaysia. We had various stops at interesting sights and there were complimentary drinks & snacks on route. Definitely recommend.

5.00This was so much more than a cycling tour! We saw so many different parts of the Penang countryside, from coconut palm plantations, to fishing villages, to a goat farm! We learned so much about local history and culture, and got to sample some of that culture for ourselves along the way with delicious drinks and snacks. Our guide (Eddie!) was friendly, knowledgable, and enthusiastic from start to finish. I couldn't recommend it more!

5.00Nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of Penang and see some countryside. Although thought of getting up so early on holiday was initially off putting, the tour was so worth it. Great guide and plenty of stops along way. Ride was leisurely which gave time to enjoy the scenery. .
