If you want to experience Balik Pulau hideaways and countryside, touched by the charm of Malaysian way of country life at personal level, bicycle is a great way to do it. This tour will bring you to see local life in the Penang countryside. Away from Balik Pulau town there is a labyrinth of minor roads, pathways and alleys. Cyclists are treated as pedestrians, so you can use bicycle to explore fruit orchard, plantation, mangrove, fishing village and dozens of traditional Kampung in Penang.

3.00Is a nice change when you are on Penang but do not expect a real bike ride. You stop extensively in four places so you spend less time on the bike / see less of the countryside than you normally can in a half day. Price / quality is also not quite ok given the condition of the bikes. They're obviously under-maintained. The guide's bike broke down 2 times in 1 part of the day. A mountain bike is better suited to the terrain than the material of this tour. Guide was fun, tour fun & informative

1.00I received a message the morning (06.00) of my pick-up saying I would now have to walk to a new point by 0.700. We drove past my original pick-up on the way to the start. Bikes were antiquated, dirty and badly maintained. It took 3 attempts to get a bike that was safe. Bike ride not worthy of note.
