Emilia Foodie Experience is an extraordinary journey through a landscape of rivers, plains and hills and the jewels of the Italian gastronomic tradition!
We will discover the secrets of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and Prosciutto di Parma, their ancient origins and unparalleled balance of knowledge, man’s passion and nature’s bounty. We will see the cheese production process in full swing and we will visit all the rooms of the cheese dairy: the production room, the shaping room, the salting room and the amazing warehouse! The dairy experience will end with a tasting of delicious Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. We will reach an authentic Prosciutto di Parma Plant, crossing the Parma Hills region. During the visit to the plant we will be able to observe the production process of this delicacy and learn about its important history and all the standards which must be complied with, to fully understand the the origins of the unique character of Parma ham, its sweetness!

Hotel pick-up and drop-off is included in the "Price including transportation" option. Pick-up and drop-off is intended within a radius of 15 kilometres of the city centre (Piazza Garibaldi in Parma). If your location is not among the pick up points listed, contact us to receive a customized quote for the extra transportation service. When travelers select the "Self-Drive Price" option, we'll see them at the Departure Point, they must provide their own transport and follow the guide in a separate car.

5.00Roberta Morese was an amazing tour guide. Her in-depth understanding of the production processes for both Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma made our experience as enjoyable as possible. Her language skills were remarkable, and that added to our enjoyment. We couldn't be more enthusiastic about our recommendation for this activity. It's one of those "don't miss" experiences for first-time visitors to Reggio Emilia.

5.00Our guide, Lisa was fantastic. She provided a lot of historical knowledge about the making of parmigiana reggiano cheese and the process to cure Parma ham. She was friendly and engaging and the tour was fantastic. It gave you a great sense of pride about these family-owned business's and their contribution to the local economy. I visited with my two sisters and would highly recommend the tour to other families and individuals.

5.00This tour was so much fun. You really get to see the full end-to-end cheese making process, which is incredible to watch unfold. And, the cheese tasting at the end is also fantastic. Going through the Parma Ham facility was also so interesting. Lisa was a great guide who was excellent at communicating the history and processes related to these incredible foods in the region. We loved the whole experience, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the excellent cuisine in and around Parma!
