Nicolas tailored our trips to our interests. We started with a short hike and exploration of our favorite: waterfalls. He introduced us to pineapple custard apples and green dates with plum powder. We loved the aiyu jelly. In Jiufen, he taught us about daoism while we explored the local temple and old village. We ended our tour with a tea tasting of high mountain tea and black tea. What a unique experience!

This was a great half-day tour, about 6 hours all together. We went outside the city about an hour and saw a lot of cool things we never could have otherwise. Very knowledgeable, friendly guide. Having him drive us was great because he could drop us off and we didn't need to worry about parking. Terrific, terrific experience, would recommend for anyone visiting Taipei.

Our tour with Vincent to Shifen Waterfall, Pingxi Sky Lantern Experience, and Jiufen was the highlight of our trip to Taiwan. Vincent is a truly fascinating person with a unique background in the military but also makeup, and his stories about his hobbies with snakes and sugar gliders kept us entertained the entire time—the car rides were just as fun as the destinations. He showed us so many new sides of Taiwan, from the touching experience of releasing sky lanterns on the train tracks to navigating the beautiful, winding shops of Jiufen. He went above and beyond to make the day special by taking us to a hidden charcoal coffee spot and a serene teahouse for lunch away from the crowds. Most impressively, even though he didn't know beforehand, Vincent coordinated a surprise birthday cake for my mom at lunch; seeing her so happy was priceless. If you get Vincent as your guide, you are in amazing hands. Highly recommended.

Our guide Vincent was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and made our experience memorable and enjoyable. Being on our own without the crowds of a big tour was well worth the extra money.

We only had one full day in Taiwan, Taipei so it was wonderful to go to outside the city and view the mountains, waterfalls and experience tea houses along with markets.

Our guide, Alex Meng, was the best. Very knowledgeable, friendly and thoughtful. Even though it rained in the afternoon, Alex was more than happy to accommodate our wishes and even took us to the Keelung Painted houses on the way to Jiufen. At our Juifen restaurant, he reserved a table for us with a great view. On the Old Road, he shared his insights and the work of the craftsmen. While the weather didn’t cooperate part of the time, Alex was great an we would highly recommend touring with him again. Thank you so much, Alex!!

My family and I enjoyed the tour with Paul Yang very much. He was very kind and made sure that we are comfortable throughout the trip. He was also fun to talk to and we learned a lot of historical info and trivia about Taiwan and the places we’ve visited. He also helped us take photos and did not rush us at all. We had a wonderful time overall.

We went on the half day tour with our guide Nicholas Ying and had the best time. Nicholas is highly experienced and knowledgeable and a great photographer as well. He showed us cool spots, gave us a culture download with so much history. We felt totally immersed in the Taiwanese culture. Highly recommend this with Nicholas.
