Playa del Carmen is an excellent place to scuba dive. Our reefs are heathy and we have many fish - particularly compared to the numbers of fish you are likely to see in Cozumel. However, the quality of the corals is probably better over in Cozumel, so if you are particularly interested in Coral, then check out out Direct-to-Cozumel dive which you might prefer.
Our instructors will take excelent care you you and we dive in small groups (maximum 5 people) to ensure that can get the maximum enjoyment from the dive. Where possible we also work hard to match experience levels within each dive group.
Out instructors as passionate about the ocean, therefore during your experience you can expect to learn about the ocean and the wildlife you will discover.

We offer two morning dives (arrive 08:00) and two afternoon dives (12:30). Our morning dives are normally deeper and typically suitable only for Advanced Open Water divers who have been diving recently. Our afternoon dives are more suited to Open Water certified divers who have also been diving recently. If you have not been diving recently then you may want to consider completing a scuba refresh session ($40) with us in the pool in the morning, prior to completing two afternoon dives. Please get in touch with us if you would like to arrange this. We will begin by verifying you dive certification and preparing your scuba equipment. One of our instructors will then conduct a full dive briefing before we take you to our dive boat. From the boat we will complete two dives on two different coral reefs. The dives will typically last 40-60 minutes depending on depth, air consumptiion, skill level and comfort. During the dives you are likely to see a huge range of tripical fish and beautiful corals. We sometimes see impressvie moray eels and graceful turtles during the dives too, so that is something extra special to look out for.

5.00I dived 2 consecutive days/4 dives and would consider Tank-Ha Dive Center to be one of the best I have used. Their equipment is very good, their divemasters were very personable (Joaquin), safety conscious and all had great personalities. I would recommend Tank-Ha if you are considering diving in either Playa del Carmen or Cozumel. I would use them again on my next trip to Playa.

5.00Did four dives with Tank Ha. Their web site looked very professional and this was backed up by the excellent communication once the initial contact was made. I did four dives with them, including the bull shark observation which was incredible. Their kit is top notch, dive masters are excellent, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. I'd have no hesitation recommending them or diving with them again.

5.00I had a very great experience! Anna our guide was absolutely perfect in everything. She made sure I could join the dive since my last one had been a good 6 years earlier. We had 2 different divings in 2 different spots. Both of them very nice despite I might say I preferred the second one. The communication from the very first moment up to the very last second was super as well as the organization. I booked a very last minute activity without any problems. Absolutely highly recommended!!!

5.00Excellent day spent diving with the team at Tank Ha. My husband did his research before coming to Mexico and it was well worth it. Customer service from Victor was amazing, especially for a recreational diver like myself, who only dives on holiday. Our dive leader, Joachim, was very patient and we were lucky enough to see a turtle and manta ray. Hubby is diving with them again, and hopefully I will be too. Can't rate them highly enough

5.00Just dove on the C-53 wreck and Paso del Cedral this morning. Joaquin was our guide and he was very cool and personable. Both dives were amazing it the wreck dive was the best dive I’ve ever done. It was jam packed with fish.

5.00Amazing reef dive! This was a great way to experience scuba diving near playa del Carmen. You’re taken out on a boat to the site you you need to get to the boat offshore so bring a dry bag if you want to bring stuff on the boat because you’ll be walking through the waves to get the boat.
