This is the best way to discover remote and innacessbile sections of the South Coast of NSW! Even find migrating whales as they cruise north and south along the NSW south coast. You will be using double expedition style sea kayaks to explore the ocean and search for wildlife, this tour also makes a stop on secluded beaches for morning tea, optional hikes, swims, snorkeling, and a return journey exploring rocky ledges and coves. The group will depart from any quiet location, you will be notified of the exact departure location the evening prior to your booking, please include an email or contact phone number in your booking.

Wow, what a fabulous experience this half day tour was. My husband and I had been before and enjoyed it so much that we always wanted to do it again! The group consisted of 7 in total, including Amy our tour guide and we set off from Guerilla Bay where, before we had even got in, we saw dolphins swimming in the water. We paddled out to sea and could see whales in the distance and then were incredibly lucky to have whales come over nearer to us and we saw them breaching and diving quite close by, what an amazing thing to witness. Paddling along the coastline we then saw a seal colony and pulled in to a sheltered bay area for a delicious morning tea and snorkeling and swimming opportunity before heading back to shore in the kayaks. Our tour guide Amy was absolutely brilliant; she ensured that everyone in the group was aware of safety protocols and gave comprehensive advice on kayaking to those in the group who were new to it. Amy was very knowledgeable about the marine life and the local environment which was just great and Amy makes a great cup of coffee!! Highly recommend this tour, 10/10 for fun, value for money and adventure.

We live in Canberra and have our own kayaks but don't get to the coast enough to build our skills enough to do open water independently, so we love to book in with Region X and spend time with skilled and knowledgeable guides. We've done many short/half day local tours with Region X, including the Tollgstes (second time this weekend), and booked longer trips through them as well, including Ningaloo, Hinchinbrook, Fiji and Svalbard, and loved them all! I have zero hesitation in recommending them.

We take our Yr 9-10 students here every year & they absolutely love the experience. The Region X guides are friendly, knowledgeable & run a great program. I'd highly recommend these guys to anyone!

This is the perfect way to see the south coast! The guide, Dave, was knowledgeable and friendly. And he tailored the route to our groups needs and skill level. The scenery was stunning, as was the beach we stopped at for snorkelling and morning tea. The morning tea was delicious! The equipment was all provided and in good condition. Definitely recommend.

Had a fantastic experience with regionX. Questions prior to booking were answered promptly (even outside advertised office hours). The experience itself was extremely well organised and managed on the day by our very personable guide Dave. Dave (a Batemans bay local) was both knowledgeable and technically fantastic in explaining the safety protocols and equipment. He also checked on us regularly during the paddle to ensure we were all coping ok. I was a little wary before we commenced as I’m not super fit, but it wasn’t an issue as the pace is determined by those paddling (within reason - to keep the group together). So long as you are comfortable in the water and have an ok level of fitness you can undertake the tour! If you are concerned at all just contact the team and they will be able to guide you. As someone who has previously spent a lot of time in and on the water on the far south coast this was a new experience for me, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something different. At all times I felt safe, and all equipment provided was excellent.

My sister and I were searching for an opportunity to snorkel in the Batemans Bay region and found the perfect tour. Dave, our guide, really made this day special. He made sure everyone was safe in their kayaks and he guided us to this beautiful beach where we had our morning tea and a little snack. We also had the opportunity to snorkel in that sheltered area which was everything we‘ve hoped for and we even got to see some rays. All in all we would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is up for a fun-filled adventurous day. Thank you guys so much!

Absolutely amazing experience and would definitely go again! Our guides were so friendly and knowledgeable, they made the entire experience really fun and educational. I'm a fairly active adult and I found the kayaking relatively easy but challenging enough to make it fun. The beach we kayaked to felt secluded which made the experience really special, something I definitely couldn't have done on my own. And the morning tea - wow, what a spread! The best part of all - we saw dolphins! Heaps of them just in front of our kayaks!! Region X is very well-run and professional and had a special local vibe to it, which made it stand out against other tour companies I've been part of.

Our trip out to Tollgates was fabulous! Weather was slightly windy but that just made it more exciting. We had a snorkle out there. Great guide, great boats, excellent morning tea! An all round terrific experience.

I recently visited half day sea kayak and had a fantastic experience. The staff Davis was incredibly friendly and helpful. I left feeling completely satisfied and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a kayak.

Had a wonderful morning in perfect conditions. Dave and Mike were professional and provided us with lots of information about sea kayaking and wildlife in the area.
