The guide and driver were great. However, the sargassum has taken over Akumal currently. If I had known, I would have booked a snorkeling adventure in Cozumel instead. Also, if you get bit easily by bugs, don’t go to a cenote. Both of my kids were eaten alive.
Highly recommend turtle and cenote snorkeling!

This half day trip was well worth it! We left our hotel at 7am and were back by 3pm. We had a great time with our tour guide, Ceaser Salad, driver & photographer. All were professional, fun, and informative. We saw 8 turtles! The Cenote was beautiful (very cold, but we got used to the water very quickly). Ceasar was a great guide telling us all about the Cenote and guiding us through the tavern. We had lunch in the jungle, which was authentic and a fun little break. I highly recommend this tour for anyone seeking some natural beauty and adventure.

It was great experience! Very well organised, cheerful and informative. Thank you to our driver Toni to get us places fast and safe. Gabi was delightful, fun and caring. Pictures were stunning and truly high level of quality, and they worth every dollar you pay. Snacks and storage were provided so we do not have to worry about that. Take big towel so you can wrap it around yourself on the way from Akumal to cenote. The cenote and village were authentic and peaceful. Truly amazing experience and beautiful nature. The company maybe need to invest in more comfortable transfer van, sleeping is impossible 😬.

This is an AMAZING experience, and so worth the money! We were picked up promptly at the designated place and time (our resort in Playa Del Carmen) and were treated so well throughout. This tour is for people who want to see marine life in their NATURAL habitat. While you are promised to see 1 turtle, we saw at least 7 (good day with the sargassum). Our guide was so helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, unassuming, and had our safety top priority. His name was Cesar (salad) Padilla. EXCELLENT. Our driver was fantastic (I cannot remember his name, but we went June 24 Tuesday. Safe driving, efficient, and got us to our places fast. The first part of the tour was to Akumal Beach...everything was explained to us and we were comfortable. About a 25 minute drive from the Platinum Princess Adults in Playa. Van was AC and so comfortable. Akumal was amazing, We LOVED IT. We were a party of 8 friends and spouses. OMG...we have all traveled extensively and were super impressed. Whenever we travel, I always book Viatour...and this was with them and used Ocean Tours local through them. We were able to swim with our guide who kept us seeing, safe, etc. for 45 minutes. We then left for the Cenotes at Yum Balam (Tulum) about 15 minutes away. Lots of bathroom breaks, chances to rest, etc....Cenotes....AMAZING TOO...Were able to spend a lot of time here. Some moderate (easy) walking....saw bats, birds, monkeys, fish, and the most beautiful caverns...we got to swim through them. We were so happy and impressed, then it was lunchtime ( I missed that in the description!)...on the grounds! We exited the cenote, were given ample time to change and shower, walked 2 minutes to the restaurant and had a great snack of delicious empenadas and juices and water. All along both parts of the tour, Cesar told us so much interesting botanical, marine and folklore information. He answered questions. He was probably the best tour guide we have ever had for this type of experience. We just loved it...do it, if we go back we will do it again.
