Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site. We also offer scuba diving on our trips.
In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

Discover some of the most beautiful reefs in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park, part of the world’s third-largest living reef system and the only living coral reef in the U.S. This guided experience includes two snorkel locations in protected areas where you may encounter turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels, Dolphins, sharks and various fish species. *Please note: Specific sites are not guaranteed, and full-face masks are not permitted. In unsafe weather conditions , your adventure will shift to a unique mangrove snorkel, showcasing a vibrant and lush ecosystem. Boat riders are welcome to join for a scenic ride, soaking up sun on the deck or enjoying the water to snorkel and explore the reefs. Important: All minors must have a liability waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. If parents are not present, please complete this in advance, as friends and family cannot legally sign. We observe a 24-hour cancellation policy, Failure to call or no show, will result in you having to pay again to attend, and no refund or rescheduled trip will be offered. If unsatisfied with your trip, please see management after disembarking for assistance.

5.00Captain Katie, Liber, and the whole crew were great! Fantastic time exploring two reefs saw a ton of fish and some sharks. Well worth the cost of admission. We had snorkelers and divers on the trip, and they took care of us all.

5.00We went out with captain Patricia and first mate Janice, and they were awesome!! They were knowledgeable about what they were doing, kept safety first, and gave information about the areas we snorkled. They knew what to look for, how to find it, and told us what to expect. It was a great day out there with them. I highly recommend it! PS- don't go if you don't know how to swim!

5.00It was an awesome experience. Saw a lot of different sea life. Captain John and Nate the Mate were awesome they made the trip fun and interesting. Would recommend the trip to everyone.

5.00These folks were amazing. Weather made it tough to go to the reef, but there did offer another option at the mangroves which being from Nebraska and it being my last opportunity to go before leaving for home I was grateful that they offered someone else so I could at least experience it. Thank you so much.

5.00The captain Joe was awesome: - attentive - knowledge beyond a usual local guide - friendly but not into your face - passionate about conservation and local eco systems The trip was exceptional: - clear water mangroves snorkeling in 5-8 feet (1.5-2.5 meters) of water - two stops about an hour each - small fishes, barracuda, baby coral fishes, bigger fishes hunting smaller fishes - bird islands with frigatebirds - an occasional manatee - a couple of stingrays - sea stars - small group, intimate experience

4.00Great captain and crew but very choppy water with huge swells breaking over our heads when in the water. A lady got so seriously nauseous that we had to go back. The captain had called ahead, so an ambulance and the fire department with about 6 hot firefighters were waiting for us at the port when we pulled in. Lucky lady! Despite the swells, very fun!

5.00I had an amazing time on the half-day snorkeling tour with Pirates Cove Watersports. It was my first time snorkeling, and the crew made it such a fun and easy experience. Captain Katie was excellent, very organized and professional. She kept everything running smoothly and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. Scuba Joe was the heart of the fun. Goofy, upbeat, and full of energy the entire trip. He kept everyone laughing, helped calm any nerves, and made the day feel like an adventure with friends. His enthusiasm was contagious and really made the experience unforgettable. The reef was beautiful, the water was clear, and the overall vibe was perfect. You can tell both Katie and Joe truly love what they do. Highly recommend Pirates Cove Watersports, especially if you have Captain Katie and Scuba Joe running your trip.
