  Knowledgeable and friendly tour guide made our experience special . It was fun walking through the rainforest canopy and learning about the natural environment and the medicinal value of the many trees and plants.

  We were met by Leroy who took us in his open topped truck to the rain forest. He was very knowledgeable and very friendly. He said we didn’t have to do the final part of the walk which was up a very steep part where you had to help yourself up by using ropes but I was determined to do it. I had to go first as I was the oldest and slowest - haha .. and felt pressured a bit to try and be like a mountain goat and not go too slow as there was another group behind me but I did it and had a huge sense of achievement. The walk back was much easier. We had smoothies which were made fresh doe $5 each. There were no snacks as mentioned in our booking but we weren’t bothered. He gave us lots of information about the island on the way back. I just wish I had pics of me climbing that last part 😊

  Leroy was an amazing guide through the forest. We were picked up and taken on a beautiful short drive along the coast to the rainforest. We were the only travelers in his group that day, so a very personal experience. We got to the trailhead early and before many other travelers arrived. We were happy to have him as our guide, so that we could explore the trails safely and respectfully. He was extremely knowledgeable and very fun to listen to. It’s one of mine and my teenage sons’ favorite experiences of our trip.

  Please warn yourguests that they’ll be using a rope and hoisting their body over the cliffs. This should be told beforehand. I did not mind a hike, but doing that was something I wasn’t prepared for thank God I had sneakers on. I’m also grateful that I was able to do it. It was a sense of accomplishment, but it is something people should know ahead of time the guide walks very fast so you’re always behind him 😎 the rainforest was beautiful however, if you know this ahead of time and you’re OK with it that’s great. I had to stop a few times to rest, but other than that it was a great hike and good exercise when I advised him that people should be told. He told me that he did warn me by telling me I wouldn’t need to go to the gym that day.

  We really enjoyed our hike, Leroy was very informative of the history, & plant life. We especially enjoyed hearing about all the medicinal trees & plant life.

  Leroy our tour guide was amazing… he was patient, articulate, and genuine! He made us all feel safe… even climbing up a 30-40 ft steep slope hanging on to ropes for support!!! He was totally on time. This was ann excellent value for the experience and time spent. Remember to wear sturdy shoes and maybe a bottle of water. He secures your belongings in the cab of his open air truck while on the hike. Have fun, Lorie and Howard

  We were greeted at our hotel by Leroy in his open air truck. He was kind, attentive and made our tour very personal assuring everyone had a great time. He was very knowledgeable about the plants and trees and shared the history of the island in a very casual way. We extended our hike with a tour of the island. He acted more like a gracious host than a tour guide. We left feeling very cared for and had a great experience touring the rest of the island. I would highly recommend Leroy to be your guide on this hike or around the island.

  I loved being able to see the wild monkeys in the rainforest. Also, the beach at the end with the monkeys and mongoose was cool. I wish we could’ve just snorkel that beach and not the other one we were taken to.
