Discover why Lexington, Kentucky is known as the Horse Capital of the World on this 3.5-hour narrated tour with transportation provided on a comfortable 14-person passenger van. The tour is not all on the van, though, as destination stops are made at world famous Keeneland Race Course* and one or more of the beautiful Thoroughbred horse farms that combine to make the Lexington region the true epicenter of Thoroughbred breeding in the United States ... and beyond.
All tours are given by very experienced local guides who share a wealth of stories about the history of the local area, farms, bourbon production and the Thoroughbred horse -- the world's most desired breed for winning the world's most prestigious races.
* NOTE: All tour itineraries can vary/change depending on changing destination and farm availability on the specific day of the tour. This is true for all of the venues (including Keeneland at its discretion) and the Thoroughbred horse farms.

November 12th - March 10th: Minimum numbers of 4 guests are required to run tour.
Under Kentucky law, a farm animal activity sponsor, farm animal professional, or other person does not have the duty to eliminate all risks of injury of participation in farm animal activities. "There are inherent risks of injury that you voluntarily accept if you participate in farm animal activities." "By purchasing ticket/s you agree that Thoroughbred Heritage Tours is not liable for any injuries or death that may occur due to participating in a farm animal activity in Kentucky".
There is no age limit but a ticket is required for all children. It is not recommended for children under six. Kentucky State Law requires infants and/or toddlers must be in a car seat, rear facing until 2 years of age. Children younger than 8 years old and between 40 and 57 inches must be in a booster. Children younger than 8 but taller than 57 inches do not have to ride in a booster seat.

Thoroughbred Heritage Visitors Center Guests will be transported from this pick-up location to visit beautiful Thoroughbred horse farms in the area, learn about Thoroughbred breeding, training, racing and aftercare and get to interact with some of the farms' horses as available. Guests will be returned to the Visitors Center at the end of the tour. (Free parking is available at the Visitors Center.)

5.00We felt the tour was very informative. Our guide was great! He could every question someone would ask. The Keeneland Race Track ok. The second stop to the see the foals and mares was excellent. We got to interact with many animals. The last stop was very interesting. We actually got to meet the head guy for the breeding area. His description of the process wss very good. Also on site, we got to see 4 massive stallions. The horse business is serious business.

5.00We saw Keeneland Race track. We went to the Stud Farm. We pet colts and fillies. The tour guide was a horse trainer and was very knowledgeable. It was a great time.
