The difficulty level of this excursion is considered to be moderate to strenuous depending on your physical fitness level. It is very important that you are in good physical condition in order to participate and enjoy yourself. The terrain in the rainforest can be muddy, slippery, uneven and include river-wading, climbing large rocks and steep inclines. This excursion is recommended for guests with an active lifestyle
Minimum age is 8 years old
Maximum weight limit is 240 lbs
Maximum age is 70 years old
NOTE: Saturday's tour is longer (approximately 1 more hour) and more strenuous than Sunday - Friday. It's very important that you are able to comply with all of the tour restrictions, have a strong physical fitness level and are able to bring your knees up to your chest.

Transportation not Available: Guests must have Rental Car – No Taxi or Ubers. After an interpretive hike through natural trails lined with beautiful flora and fauna, some river wading and small climbs, you will arrive at a hidden gem found in the heart of the rainforest. This breathtaking segment of the 29,000-acre forest is like a natural playground. Here you will have the chance to swim in the natural pools, refresh in waterfalls, slide down an exhilarating natural waterslide, rope swing into the river, jump from different rock formations and enjoy fresh local fruit with a view. Along with all of this excitement, you will also have time to simply relax to the sounds of cascading waters and take in the beauty of this very special place.

3.00The first thing I would say is the time to arrive was 11:30 and they said there was a 15min grace period. We ended up not leaving the meeting place until 12:10. Did not appreciate that. Then we had to drive 40 min to the rain forest entry while the 3 guides took the bus. I’m not sure why we all did not go on the bus. The actual rain forest hike was more of a rock climbing/cliff diving experience. The listing said chance to swim but there was really no other choice. Once you reached the low pool as they called it, you either had to stay there in the water or continue on with the group to the high pool and waterfall. The end of the climbing brought you back to that low pool however it was a good hour. So you really had no choice, but to continue on with the group or sit there.

5.00It was awesome! Would recommend to any families. Our kids ages 10 and 13 loved jumping into the water and the rope swing. The tour guides Bradley and Amauri made us feel very safe and taken care of and everything ran very smoothly. No complaints at all!

5.00Amauri and Bradley were amazing. Bradley made sure i felt safe when I did the rope swing. Amauri made the entire trip fun and engaging. So did Bradley on the tour. I think we got some of the best tour guides. Thanks again to Amauri and Bradley

5.00Our guides were amazing! Shoutout to Bradley and Amauri! They were awesome about safety, gave us info about the rainforest and guided us to all the rope swinging and cliff jumping spots! Highly recommend this tour!

5.00Rey and Bradley were fantastic hosts. Super knowledgeable, friendly, and a great sense of humor. The tour itself was more about the adventure (waterslide, cliff dive, rope swing) than it was about exploring the rainforest but they were easily able to answer any and all questions. Highly recommend!

5.00We had an amazing experience trekking the El Yunque rainforest, watersliding down a waterfall, leaping into the water from a rocky cliffside, and also rope swinging into the water. It was absolutely amazing and a must if you visit Puerto Rico. Considering everything provided, it was very affordable. We had a flight leaving later that evening and I wasn’t sure if we’d have the time to do the tour. But it worked out perfectly. Our tour lasted from 10:30 to 2:30, and we still had plenty of time to return our rental car and make the flight. The rainforest offers so much in terms of untouched landscape, you really need to experience yourself in order to fully grasp. It’s a jungle, and almost feels like you’ve arrived at Jurassic Park…without the dinosaurs of course. So, nothing to run away, unless you’re scared of a tiny lizard. Crowd size was minimal. Our group had maybe about twelve people, from maybe 9 years old to 60. You do need to be somewhat physically fit and healthy to do everything. There’s a lot of rocky and slippery terrain to climb in order to to get to and from the waterfalls. Nene and Bradley, our tour guides were phenomenal and gave us an amazing experience. They’re fun, down-to-earth, and very knowledgeable. Whatever the question, they always seemed to have an answer. I felt very safe with them.
