We have six people riding on the back of a truck during very bumpy ride to the magic mountain. It is not a comfortable ride so do not recommend for people with back issue. The trip itself is mediocre to say the least. We had good weather but it was very muggy and lots of mosquitos. Communication with the operator is kind of lacking so we were not prepared well. Morea has a lot to offer but this tour is just so so to have a overview of the island.

Simply amazing.. the guide cares and his island and nature. He also carries around jars of dog food to feed to the abandoned dogs.

We had an amazing experience with our guide Steven. He treated us like royalty even in the back of a four wheel truck. It was just the right mix of adventure and fun and all things interesting and beautiful!

we enjoyed our half day tour with Steve. A few things - it is chaotic at the port when you have a booking but everything does seem to work out if you follow the instructions sent by the operator. I would have like to hear a bit more about the history of the islands The 4wd is a lot of fun - there is a lot of driving Go in the morning for best views as the clouds come in later in the day

On Wednesday, I took a four-hour Nature and Culture Tour with Mo'orea VIP Tours. There were five other people on the tour, all of whom were staying in my hotel. Our first stop was Mou'a Puta, which means Pierced Mountain in Tahitian (and something else entirely in Spanish!). It looks like a woman looking up at the sky. Our next stop was Cook's Bay. We saw several sharks in the water. Captain Cook never set sail in Cook's Bay. He visited Opunohu Bay nearby. From the Belvédère d'Opunohu, you can see Opunohu Bay on the left and Cook's Bay on the right. We also visited a historical sacred place and a pineapple plantation. Our last stop was Magic Mountain. An early visitor went atop and thought the view was "magic". You can see the west coast of Mo'orea. Note the difference in color between the lagoon and the surrounding ocean. In the other direction is Opunohu Bay. We drove down the mountain and stopped at the fruit and jam stand at the entrance to the mountain road for some tasting of home grown fruits and jams. It was a delicious way to end the tour.

This was awesome! I cannot say how much we liked our tour guide! She was super friendly, informative, and funny. I think we saw almost everything there was to see! Everything we saw was so interesting and we got the stories and history behind everywhere that we went. She pointed out lots of plants and shapes in the mountains, which was very neat. All in all, we had a great time!
