Terrible company with horrible communication

1.00Avoid this company at all costs, particularly the valle de la luna tour. They took us to one single stop before “running out of time” and needing to end the tour. This is because they took so long picking people up into a completely packed vehicle that they ran out of time to drive around the valle before it closed. Waste of money and a horrible company to deal with. Zero communication with their office prior to the tour despite sending them several messages and ringing them several times (no matter how many times you ring, i guarantee they will not answer). Choose a company that cares about guest experience over money.

5.00I went on this tour with Brandon. He was a great guide -- informative and friendly. Pukarumi makes coordinating everything seamless with WhatsApp. We were picked up promptly a little after 3:30, and returned to the city at approximately 8:30 (shortly after sunset). The scenery is stunning. Be sure to pack sunscreen and sunglasses. It's best if you bring a hat with a strap, as it can be very windy in certain parts, and hats can go flying. Definitely recommend!

4.00It's worth the experience. The landscape is very beautiful and the formation of dunes and rocks is impressive. It is a walk of moderate physical effort and the walk requires a lot of attention, especially in the highest points, where the path is narrow. With the altitude, it can give a little vertigo. Wear sunscreen and hat! The sunset at the end is also beautiful - a pity that has to rush out right after the sun hides.
Good to kill time and chill out, but not a must visit site

4.00As one of the major attractions of San Pedro de Atacama, the site is slightly over-rated. The landscape is a typical dry desert landscape with salt crystals and layer of ancient sedimentary rocks. The travel agent add in the section of snacks and drinks and sunset viewing to make the entire experience more rich. Otherwise, the visit to the Valle de la Luna could be quite plain and boring.

2.00The tour was very rushed and we could hardly hear the guide, she felt very concerned with simply getting through each destination. This was something that if you rented a car, you could easily do on your own.

4.00I ended up with dust in my hair, the inside of my shoes and socks. Yes, the inside of my socks. When getting sand blasted by the elements, the tour guide joked, “it’s all part of the experience.” and it was. There were three (maybe four stops for pictures), but with too many other tourists in the shots. It was kind of experiencing Mars on earth.
