Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary
Guests will snorkel and kayak in the protected waters of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, exploring shallow seagrass beds, coral heads, and quiet mangrove islands. Our crew will lead you through calm, winding channels where you’ll learn about this unique backcountry ecosystem—home to rays, tropical fish, small sharks, sport fish, and the occasional sea turtle. Overhead, keep an eye out for birds like herons, egrets, ospreys, and pelicans that thrive in the mangroves. No kayaking experience? No problem. Our stable sea kayaks are easy to handle, and our crew will have you paddling like a pro in no time.
Key West
The trip begins with a sail through Key West Harbor, where you’ll get a front-row view of the island’s colorful past and present. From the water, you’ll see historic landmarks, working shrimp boats, luxury yachts, and the charming mix of old and new that defines the Key West waterfront. As we cruise along the coastline, our crew will share stories about the island’s rich history—from its days as a bustling port town to its reputation as a haven for artists, pirates, and presidents alike.

5.00The crew were excellent. They were very knowledgable and did a great job helping the guests get the best experience. The provided snacks and beverages were great. The sunset cruise was amazing. My only wish was that there was more time to kayak.

5.00Our family had a great trip with Danger Charters. Captain, Brooke & Lexi were great from the beginning, being professional, fun, and accommodating. The time spread across the activities was perfect. The kayaking was a fun experience getting to see wildlife and learning some history of the area. The drinks and snacks were the right amount. And of course, nothing beats a Key West sunset. Thank you!

5.00This half-day trip was an absolutely awesome experience from start to finish. We had such a great time snorkeling, kayaking, and sailing—and it never once felt rushed. Everything was perfectly paced, letting us truly enjoy each part of the adventure. The snorkeling was a highlight. We saw turtles, stingrays, lobsters, and so many different kinds of fish. Lexi was fantastic in the water, pointing things out that I definitely would have missed on my own, while Lexi kept an eye on everyone and made sure we were safe and having fun. Kayaking through the mangroves was another favorite part of the trip. It was peaceful and scenic, and we saw jellyfish, a few turtles, and lots of birds perched in the trees. Our guide even took us into a hurricane hole and explained how boaters are safer tucked into the mangroves during storms—super interesting and something I hadn’t known before. The sailing itself was smooth and relaxing, with Captain Steve sharing some local history along the way. To top it all off, we enjoyed fresh fruit, snacks, beer, and wine while watching a stunning Key West sunset. It was the perfect ending to an already incredible day. I’ve taken several boat trips in Key West, and Danger Charters continues to impress me every time. This trip truly lets you do it all—sail, snorkel, kayak, and soak in a beautiful sunset—without ever feeling hurried. Highly recommend!

5.00Mary, Katie and Morgan know their stuff! After pulling out of the marina our Small group of 20 were offered fruit and drinks. We were educated about the reef, the history and flora and fauna. Thanks Karie for the lesson!!! We then Kayaked with Morgan around a mangrove island and saw a baby shark, a green sea turtle, many birds and fish. We then Snorkled at a beautiful spot on the reef with many diverse fish to see. Hummus, salsa and chips were served with beer wine and sodas. While enjoying our snacks a pod of dolphins were spotted and Mary our captain made sure to catch up they played right at the front of our boat! Great trip. Thanks for the memories!!!

5.00Lovely time snorkeling and kayaking with friendly, knowledgeable guides who were good with kids and adults alike. Very laid back but with enough activity to keep everyone entertained. Guides Laura, Bible, and Micah were super attentive and great at running the whole experience.

4.00The snorkeling was pretty underwhelming. Just a couple bleached coral heads and a few schools of boring fish. The crew (Micah, Laura, Bible) were great! We had a lot of fun on the kayak tour. Again, not a whole lot to see apart from the outsides of mangroves and maybe a baby barracuda.

5.00Best part of our vacation! Captain Matt and his warm and friendly crew made sure everyone was having the best time by offering drinks, fruit cups, and nachos at sunset. They were eager to point out various sea creatures when snorkeling, and to answer questions about mangroves as well as share Key West's history. Highly, highly recommend!!!!

4.00It was a great great experience - everything that was promised was delivered. Kayaking through the mangroves, snorkeling in the sea and the sunset all were amazing! However, I would recommend this for someone who has already been to the Keys at least once.
