You'll sail on an authentic schooner into the calm, protected waters of the Key West National Wildlife Refuge—a remote area only accessible by boat. With group sizes limited to 20 guests, the experience feels personal, spacious, and relaxed!

Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary
Guests will snorkel and kayak in the protected waters of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, exploring shallow seagrass beds, coral heads, and quiet mangrove islands. Our crew will lead you through calm, winding channels where you’ll learn about this unique backcountry ecosystem—home to rays, tropical fish, small sharks, sport fish, and the occasional sea turtle. Overhead, keep an eye out for birds like herons, egrets, ospreys, and pelicans that thrive in the mangroves. No kayaking experience? No problem. Our stable sea kayaks are easy to handle, and our crew will have you paddling like a pro in no time.
Key West
The trip begins with a sail through Key West Harbor, where you’ll get a front-row view of the island’s colorful past and present. From the water, you’ll see historic landmarks, working shrimp boats, luxury yachts, and the charming mix of old and new that defines the Key West waterfront. As we cruise along the coastline, our crew will share stories about the island’s rich history—from its days as a bustling port town to its reputation as a haven for artists, pirates, and presidents alike.

5.00This was the first time both my husband and I have ever been sailing. It was a great time! Micah, Trevor, and Carly provided the best hospitality and was full of so much history. We learned a lot of about Key West, the animal life, and much more. We snorkeled and saw sponges and different kinds of fish. Then we kayaked around a mangrove which provided a chance to see a shark and sea turtle. Alas, we sailed back to see a beautiful sunset. We will definitely be back again to do another danger sail!

5.00Danger Charters was the highlight of our trip to Key West. The whole experience from booking to boarding, snorkeling, kayaking, sailing and deboarding was top notch. The entire crew made the trip even better as they were just a blast to be with and put us right on the coral for the best snorkeling experience. The wildlife we say kayaking through a mangrove was awesome and the sunset on the way back from amazing. I will definitely be doing Danger Charters anytime I visit Key West!

5.00The whole team ( Danni, Mary and .... a very nice guy also whose name is escaping me ) were very fun and provided lots of education on the history of key west and waterline, they made sure everyone was well taken care of and having the best time possible. The tide was low so kayaking was pivoted from the mangroves to the flats which was in my opinion way cooler cause we got to see and hold a TON of creatures including conch, sea urchin, star fish, sea cucumber, serpent starfish, and I can't even recall the rest... Dani is fearless exploring the waters and so fun. It felt like an adventure. The sunset cruise back was beautiful and relaxing. Everyone on the boat got to know each other taking photos and conversations. It was very laid back vibes and I attribute that to the staff leading the way. Would do again!
