This trip combines sailing, snorkeling, kayaking, and local insight in a laid-back, small-group setting. You'll sail on an authentic schooner into the calm, protected waters of the Key West National Wildlife Refuge—a remote area only accessible by boat. With group sizes limited to 20 guests, the experience feels personal, spacious, and relaxed!

Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary

Guests will snorkel and kayak in the protected waters of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, exploring shallow seagrass beds, coral heads, and quiet mangrove islands. Our crew will lead you through calm, winding channels where you’ll learn about this unique backcountry ecosystem—home to rays, tropical fish, small sharks, sport fish, and the occasional sea turtle. Overhead, keep an eye out for birds like herons, egrets, ospreys, and pelicans that thrive in the mangroves. No kayaking experience? No problem. Our stable sea kayaks are easy to handle, and our crew will have you paddling like a pro in no time.

The trip begins with a sail through Key West Harbor, where you’ll get a front-row view of the island’s colorful past and present. From the water, you’ll see historic landmarks, working shrimp boats, luxury yachts, and the charming mix of old and new that defines the Key West waterfront. As we cruise along the coastline, our crew will share stories about the island’s rich history—from its days as a bustling port town to its reputation as a haven for artists, pirates, and presidents alike.

Even though the weather was cloudy and with some scattered rain the trip was excellent due to Captain Joe and Katie. They were knowledgeable, super experienced running a sailboat schooner, funny and adaptable to make sure we had a nice place to snorkel and then kayak. The fruit, hummus and beverages were all plentiful. Great day! Thank you

What a great trip - we did it all and never felt rushed. There were only 7 passengers and Luke and Katie took great care of us. I have taken several different boat trips and Danger continues to impress me. We sailed and learned a bit of history, then snorkeled with Katie signaling to us and pointing out things I never would have seen - a few lobsters and so ma y different types of fish. We were then able to use a hose for a quick fresh water rinse. Next up was kayaking around the mangroves where we saw some jelly fish, a few turtles and many birds perched in the trees. She took us into a hurricane hole and explained that in a storm, boaters are safer nestled in the mangroves than out in open water. We ended the trip with some kite snacks, beer and wine and of course, a beautiful Key West sunset sail.
Highly recommend this tour and the captain and crew!

I highly recommend this trip. Everything is well organized. Just show up with your bathing suit. The captain Micah and two crew members Katie and Bible were so friendly, personable, kind, knowledgeable and communicative. There were about 16 guests and we all got personal attention. The sailing out to the snorkel area was beautiful. They had snorkel gear ready and I saw stingrays, crabs, and lots of fish. Then we went to a remarkable mangrove forest in the middle of the ocean and the crew pulled out kayaks for us to paddle into the mangroves. There were birds, jellyfish, and iguanas up close a personal. The sun set right before we had snacks and drinks for the sailboat ride back. Do this tour! It’s worth it!

Great trip with Micah, Kelly and Bible! Relaxing time on the boat with drinks and snacks, as well as excellent snorkeling and kayaking adventures. The hosts were very welcoming, knowledgeable and entertaining. Would greatly recommend!

We had the most amazing experience with Danger charters during our half day tour that involved snorkeling, kayaking and sunset watching. Most amazing boat crew we have ever come across. Special shout out to Micah, Katie and Bible for being the most talented and hardworking boat crew and making every effort to make our trip special. We would definitely come back for another tour with Danger batters and this amazong crew

Micah and Katy were great hosts! Snacks were healthy. They were great guides made sure we had enough to drink. We were given a mini history of Key West. Wishing the kayaking went through the mangroves more. Not much to see with the snorkeling, some sponges, small fish and a lobster and jelly fish. Did get to hold a Casiopian jelly fish which was cool.

Captain Mary & 1st Mate Connor were great. Fruits on the way out, beverages with Yuengling, Miller lite and wine was a great surprise then some humas, salsa and chips. Kayaking and sailing were my favorites for sure.

What a great afternoon! Captain Tony and Brooke made us feel so welcome onboard! Brooke was so knowledgeable about the Keys, and gave a great history lesson. We did not see much while snorkeling, but the kayak tour was so much fun. We will definitely be repeat customers when we return to Key West!
