Little time at the main attraction. If I wanted to ride a cable car to enjoy the cataract from above, I would not have time. Frustrating!

Getting on bus was very disorganized. Bus was not where we were told it would be. Guide with no identity finally showed up and luckily we followed here to the bus which was about two blocks away. Tour started late limiting our time at the falls, although there was plenty of time at the Chocolate factory and copper museum which were not the highlights of the trip.

We did this late Oct and had a small group of 7 people total in a tour van. Our guide Daniel gave a funny and informative bilingual tour. We are a bit limited in mobility so we were ok with time allocated for each stop. Could there have been more time at each stop? Definitely, especially if you wanted to hike the falls or take the gondola. The basilica was enough time to take some pictures, light a candle and say a prayer, however if you want anything from gift shop you might head there first. Get the dark hot chocolate at the chocolatier shop. It’s amazingly good. The copper museum was an interesting story and the silver panels of the life of Christ that are there are unbelievably beautiful and to think of the work that went into them. This tour could be six hours with same stops but four is still good for an overview. If you want to spend more time at falls I recommend taking the 800 bus from Quebec City which is cheap and allows you to spend more time there to hike and take gondola.

If you are into churches, the visit to the basilica of Ste. Anne De Beaupre is a must. The stop at the falls is also good. The copper art store was interesting. I could do without the detour to the chocolate store on L'ile D'Orleans where the staff was less than friendly.

When it comes to travel, I’m usually a DIY planner. But for this trip to Quebec City, I decided to try the Half-Day Trip to Montmorency Falls and Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré—and I’m glad I did! The falls were stunning, and taking the cable car to the top was definitely part of the experience. We could have skipped the chocolate shop stop, though, since there are plenty of great chocolate shops right in Quebec City. I wasn’t particularly excited about the visit to Cuivres d’Art Albert, but I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up really enjoying the Christorama Musée located inside the shop. It actually made our visit to the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré even more meaningful, since the church’s beautiful copper doors were crafted by Albert Gilles himself. I can’t believe I’m saying this—but I’m actually recommending a big bus tour!

Patrick was a very funny, knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. My daughter and I really enjoyed this tour as it was so lovely to see different places especially the chocolate shop, Basilica of St Anne was beautiful as well as the Montmorency Falls. We felt that we had enough time in each place as it is the end of season for tourists so it was a lot quieter. We personally would have preferred another stop on Isle d’Orleans as it is very pretty but definitely we highly recommend this tour.
