Berkeley Memorial
The Berkeley Memorial was erected in 1883 and was for a long time the only public memorial commemorating an individual in St. Kitts. It was dedicated to the memory of Thomas Berkeley Hardtman Berkeley, a legislator and owner of the estates called Fountain, Greenland, Greenhill, Ottleys, Shadwell and Stone Fort.
Immaculate Conception Co-Cathedral Catholic Church
CO-CATHEDRAL OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION is an ornate church constructed out of grey stone and located on the eastern side of Independence Square. In the early years of the French occupation of St. Kitts, the Jesuits had build a Roman Catholic Church and dedicated it to Our Lady. Notre Dame was burned in 1706 during the Anglo-French war and rebuilt later as St. Georges Anglican Church. The catholic congregation in St. Kitts diminished drastically in the years following the Treaty of Utrecht.

5.00On the day, we’re supposed to be six people but 4 didn’t show. Still went ahead with just the two of us. Joe wasn’t just the driver, he was a great tour guide, knew everything about the island and was a mine of information.

1.00The claimant on the spot tried to do what he could because he was not warned that French was spoken by annie fountain. When I informed annie that on our reservation it was well stipulated audio in French, she rembarded us to go see another provider!!!! Not much of a shopkeeper.

2.00Asked tour in French and received confirmation that everything was ok on the site was registered several English Spanish French guides. Arrived there English-speaking guide 3hrs excursion with a cd of 10 min in function that does not correspond to the live route. Annie the guide stops for lunch? We wait....she does not want us to translate from English to French for those who do not understand and tells us that it is an English-speaking island. I chose and pay this tour because it was in French. Very disappointed misleading publication!! You be careful.

5.00We really enjoyed the ride with Joe. He friendly and always knew something to say about everything. The sights that are passed have all been explained. The occasional short stop to see or photograph something was good. Timothy Hill was sadly very overflowing. If necessary, the order of sights would be more optimal the other way around.

5.00Annie was exceptional. The vehicle was lovely and comfortable. She had endless knowledge and made us feel very welcome. In fact she made all day if it’s possible to give 15 out of 10 I would if you don’t do this tour you are really missing out would do it again highly recommended.

4.00The tour was great. Spent an ample amount of time at several spots. We enjoyed seeing the Island away from the city. However our tour guide decided to give us a lecture on global warming and the lack of funding for the island from major countries. Very political rant. Not necessary to hear when on vacation.

4.00The tour was great and full of history. The tour guide knew everything about St. Kitts and encouraged all questions. For my wife and I, the tour guide spoke good english but the accent prevented us from understanding much of what he said.
