The Athena Cruise is the brand new five-star luxury cruise vessel in Ha Long Bay – Bai Tu Long Bay. Built in 2016, the Athena Cruise made her maiden voyage on July 1st, 2017. The ship has 3 decks: a lower deck with reception, cabins, and boarding area, a middle deck with cabins, an indoor restaurant and bar, and a rooftop sundeck with open bar, coffee lounge, spa and sauna. On board the Athena Cruise there are 21 high-end cabins with 5 different styles available to custom-tailor your voyage with us.

– 06.30 Learn how to practice one of the oldest traditions of East Asia: The Tai Chi class. A beautiful and relaxing experience on the open deck. – 07.00 The Early Coffee Set is ready to wake up you – 07.30 Explore one of the famous beauty of the bay: Paradise Cave (Thien Canh Son). – 09.00 Check out time. Leave your luggage outside the cabin and the key at the reception desk. Our staff will transfer all luggage in our lounge. – 09.00 Bill Settlement at the reception desk. – 09.30 The brunch is ready in the restaurant. – 10.45 The boat arrives to the pier. – 16.00 Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi. In Vietnam we never say “goodbye” we always say “see you again”!

5.00Nice boat trip to beautiful islands. Nice rooms, good food, friendly crew. Kayak trip was great, "Secret cave" was nice too, but a bit crowded. I recommend this trip. Thank you Tony!
We were at halong bay and visit beach and kayaking. It were a lot od peoples but it was so nice and worth it

5.00Took the Athena Royal Cruise. Firstly the boat, the staff (particularly Kevin in the Resturant), the rooms, the food and service was all 5 star. Excellent and couldn't fault it. Activities were fun, but be prepared for crowds, its certainly not relaxed, queues everywhere and it was packed full of other cruise passengers. Disappointing part was that this is not a 'Cruise'. We travelled maybe an hour out of the harbour to a sheltered spot and stopped. That was it. Spent the rest of the time there taking the tender out to the activities. I found this part really disappointing considering it was advertised as a cruise. Did look like this was the norm though as many other boats did the same thing. Overall we did enjoy our selves, probably wouldn't do it again though.

5.00We sailed on a 1-night Athena Cruise on 27th December as a family of four, including my son who is mildly autistic. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Cruise Manager, Ha, and the Restaurant Manager, Kevin, for their exceptional care, empathy and professionalism. They, along with their entire team, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable, and we felt genuinely supported throughout the journey. From the special attention given to our son to ensuring our meals and activities were stress-free, the team truly demonstrated what hospitality should feel like. For this reason, I would highly recommend Athena Cruise — especially for families or guests with special requirements who value care and consideration. Regarding the cruise experience itself, I do wish to set realistic expectations for future travellers. Ha Long Bay, while naturally beautiful, is not quite as portrayed in social media. The cruise sails for approximately 30 minutes and thereafter remains parked alongside several other boats for most of the day. The excursions offered were extremely crowded; after attending the first one, we chose to skip the remaining activities. Nevertheless, it was the outstanding hospitality of the staff that transformed the experience and made it memorable. Our heartfelt thanks once again to Ha, Kevin, and the Athena Cruise team.

5.00What an amazing cruise. From start to finish we couldn’t fault it. The boat was amazing with spacious cabins, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The meals were great with a good range of dishes. The Staff made the trip for us, Kelvin was especially helpful and looked. Free everyone. Highly recommend.
